Hi All,

A friend of mine in the Mage / Changling group I hang with asked me to pass this one to anyone who is interested in playing a fundraiser LARP for the Camarilla Club.

****************

Date and Location:
Saturday, April 29th, 2006
130 West 56th Street, Manhattan, New York
City Center Studios, between 6th and 7th Avenues
6:00 – 8:00: Character Generation and Pre-Game Meet-and-Greet, Studio 4
8:00 – Midnight: Paris By Gaslight

Character creation and check in begins at 6PM in Studio 4 on the 4th Floor.

This location is most easily reached by taking the F train to 57th Street, or the N,R,Q, and W to 57th Street, one avenue further over. If you can stand a bit of walking after you get off the train, you can also get there by taking the E to the 7th Avenue or 53rd Street stations, the V to 53rd Street, the D to the 7th Avenue stop, or the A, C, D and 1 trains to Columbus Circle. If you're coming up on the 4, 5, 6 trains, transfer at 59th Street / Lexington Avenue for the N, R, Q, W trains downtown and stop at 57th Street as mentioned above.

The City of Paris is the City of Lights, Heart of the Camarilla in these Modern Nights. Welcome to Paris, 1854.

The silence over the city of Paris is frightening, the calm either before or after the storm that was the Sabbat’s frenzied attacks in recent nights, attacks that have brought losses to all within the Camarilla. The city is
caught in the thrall of a cholera epidemic, and the war parties of the Sabbat very nearly blended in with the unrest of the poor in the streets of Paris, citizens of Louis-Napoleon’s Third Empire growing tired of the worst abuses of livrets, the passbooks that say they are able to work. Winter has passed, and with it the worst of the epidemic, as the melting of the snow and the coming of warm weather has allowed the prefect of Paris, Haussman, to begin renewing the worst areas of the city to save it from the ravages of disease.

The end of the war with the Sabbat seems to many to be mysterious: one night those of the Camarilla fought and died to keep back the seemingly endless foot-soldiers of the Sabbat, the very next those soldiers had vanished,
destroyed or turned coward or perhaps even an arrangement had been made to end the warfare before the price of the city became too dear for either the Camarilla or the Sword of Caine. Others say it was a stroke of luck, or a
carefully-planned rout that is a testament to the pure genius of the Lady of Paris, Prince Genevieve Marchand.

With the end of the battle comes a time to celebrate life, and this being Paris... center of the modern world and crown jewel of Europe’s Camarilla... such things must be done in style. Tradition has always held that a childe
should be introduced into the society of the Camarilla properly and formally, and so it is that with the victory of the Camarilla the Prince has chosen to Embrace again and present her childe formally to the court of Paris on the evening of the Vernal Equinox. The childe to be is Christian Saunier, thought to be a replacement for Sebastian Nassif, favored childe of the Prince who fell in the war with the Sabbat and was being groomed by the Lady of Paris as a potential successor to her throne.

The gathering of the Kindred is to be a gala ball, then, in celebration of new life and new opportunities... and the Who’s Who of society will be there. Some even say that an Archon of the Camarilla shall be there, to
honor the victory of Paris and the might of the Camarilla.

Since we're using the old World of Darkness rules, we'll be using the old World of Darkness creation system. In an effort to raise money for the Domain, the following cost will be associated with generation.
For $10, you will be able to play a 10th generation, Camarilla clan.
For $15, you'll be able to play a 10th generation, Indy clan.
For $20, you'll be able to play a 10th generation, Sabbat clan.
So you don't want to play a 10th generation vampire? Fair enough! For an extra dollar you can play a 9th generation. Every generation till 5th, will cost a dollar. The upgrade cost from 10th to 5th generation will be just five dollars.

Feeling like adding some extra experience points to that 5th generation vampire? For one dollar, you will get 25 experience points. Throw six dollars on your PC, and you'll have 150 extra experience points on your 5th Generation Lasombra

For basic character creation (just your basic 10th gen) for a Cam or Indy clan, the stats are as follows:
Attributes: 7/5/3
Abilities: 5
Lores: 3
Backgrounds: 5
Disciplines: 3
Virtues: 7
Free Traits: 5
Negative Traits: Up to 5 Traits
Flaws/Derangements: Up to 7 points worth

For a Sabbat character, change Disciplines to 4 and Backgrounds to 0.

You may select any Merit or Flaw from any of the following books:
Laws of the Night: Revised, Guide to the Camarailla, Sabbat or Anarchs, any clanbook, the Victorian book (Vampire by Gaslight) or the Storyteller's Guide.

if you are interested in playing, or have any questions, please email Howard at HNewman21@yahoo.com or the lead ST, Sean, at smckeown@livejournal.com
