Observations of a Newcommer

OOC: I'm a new avatar player who started at the BBQ with my character. Since I was witness
to a few of the more interesting events of the BBQ I thought I'd post some in character thoughts
and observations of events any my characters impressions of the nexus in general. For those who
weren't there and don't catch on the character I"ve selected is John Constantine.

IC: Ok so I've got dumped off at some sort of world nexus. Yeah its no big deal I've been there
and done that more then a few times. Heck that one bar back when the old Dream died had decent
brew. Yet the more time I spend in this place the locals call the Nexus the more I start to
realize its not quite like any where else I've been.

Sure some one told me people think its Hell. Well I've been to Hell and cheesed off the first
of the fallen once or twice and I gotta say this ain't it. For one thing its a lot more
prettier, for another its not nearly as hot. Of course it leads to other thoughts like it being
Heaven or purgatory. Heaven's overrated. Its a bunch of snot nosed angels bossing people around.
Purgatory well I haven't been there but I wouldn't think it'd be that pleasant or interesting.
So the question I guess is what is it? Well obviously thats a bloody stupid quesiton. Theres
lots of realities around. The realms of the endless, Heaven, Hell, that plane ruled by a guy
who's face is a giant smiley button(god that got old real fast), and heck theres even a reality
I saw once that was full of shrimp. I think the real point is that its an interesting place full
of interesting people thats all that really matters in life innit?

Now enough blather about metaphysical mumbo jumbo. Hey I've been a mage for ages and I'm still
bored by it. Some of the people were far more interesting. FOr one I was a bit suprised to meet
The Doctor. Especially that Doctor. I had thought the chap was a fictional character on a tv
show I occasionaly watched. Then theres this "chaos wolf" no I can't say I know that type of
entity directly. Acts like a demon or maybe a Djinn. Frankly though its a good reminder of how
bloody stupid people can be. Didn't cartoons teach people any thing? You never get exactly what
you wish for and in the end you usually get screwed. These critters aren't that different from
people they don't give you any thing for free and they always take more then they give. Oh well
no matter if others choose to dance with the devil best of luck to them.

I guess thats about it for now. Time to explore and have a bit of fun. I've joined this bunch
that call themselves "Ligosi" I don't know frankly I thought Ligosi was some hungarian actor
who played Dracula in a couple old flicks. They seem to have some interesting ideas and I
can probably learn some thing.
