I always wondered, exactly how many versions of Monopoly are out there? I've seen versions ranging from Star Wars, all the way down to New York City. And if anyone doesn't know the exact number, guesses are always welcome.  Wink

Considering that these days, nearly every college, and major city throughout the U.S., and probably farther has a version, I'd guess that it's quickly becoming immeasurable.

Also considering there's a make up your own -opoly, the varieties have to be infinite.

Since the original version is based on the streets of Atlantic City, it has always been an especially popular game around Southern Jersey. I played alot of Monopoly as a kid.

My favorite (unofficial) version will of course always be Nexusopoly, put together by Mike Costalas.  Even if I never did get to play it.  (Sniff!)

I used to have Pokemon Monopoly. I played it with my grandfather once and he called Clefairy "The Pink Pig" XD I've never really got to try it but I want to play Ghettopoly. But aside from that, I've owned Harley Davidson Monopoly, Philiadelphia Monopoly, the original Monopoly, Millenium Monopoly, and the 50th Anniversary one I believe it is.

At Ubercon, I saw a copy of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Monopoly. Yes, it was based on the Christmas special we've all known and loved since, oh, birth. Hermie, Yukon Cornelius, the Bumble, Clarice, the Misfit Toys, and Santa were all there. I almost bought it for the novelty. Then I remembered how much I hate the game, cute theme or not.
