I have no idea when or how you guys decide on which games to play, but I thought I'd offer this suggestion. What about having a game of Risk Godstorm in addition to or instead of Risk 2210? It's been my experience that of people who have played both, people prefer Risk Godstorm.
What is Risk Godstorm like?
In a game of classic Risk there are key connector countries that bridge continents that you need to attack through to move across the board. You can fortify yourself by piling your troops in these key countries. In Risk 2210 there are so many connecting sea territories this is nearly impossible. The additional moon territories make this unlikely because (unless you're playing a game w/ 5 or 6 people) there's always someplace else to expand. The majority of the cards in Risk 2210 are nearly useless.
Risk Godstorm, in contrast, plays more like classic Risk because there are fewer connecting countries. In addition just about all the cards are valuable. You also have gods that help you in attacking and defending. And there's an underworld board that works a little like the moon in Risk 2210, but it really doesn't alter the gameplay that much.
