I'm sorely tempted to lobby for Puni Puni Poemy, Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, or Dai Mahou Touge. I want the rest of the world to suffer as I have.

It is my intention to put "Beating-to-death Angel Dokuro-chan" on the schedule. That and, if all goes my way, other very new fan-subbed shows that have recently shown up via bittorrent. The 'x-factor' is my newly acquired dvd player that can play DivX files (let me know if you want technical details). I've had some promising initial results and as soon as I can verify it working with a new series I'll add it to the schedule.
One possibility is an interesting spin on Shakespeare called "Romeo X Juliet". I've seen most of the first four or five episodes and I like what I've seen so far.
I would love to show "Paprika" but the avi source is pretty crappy. I saw it in Manhattan recently and it is GORGEOUS!
I'm thinking of showing "Cat's Eye" for the Nostalgia @ Noon block on one or two days. If you haven't heard of it, it's a pre-City Hunter work by Tsukasa Hojo. Lots of fun, very 80's but not as whacky as his more well known work.
I'll have a rough-cut schedule posted fairly soon. I've been given a July 1st deadline but I need to know EXACTLY when the Cherry Hill Experiment will be taking over the room and on what days (sorry kids, no "Viewer's Choice" for the late night this year). If someone knows more or who I can contact please send me a personal message immediately. I wanna have this buttoned up tout sweet!
Please send me more suggestions, either here or as a PM. As far as S.T.E.A.M. goes, I think I'll give it a rest for this year. But do not despair. When Dreamation rolls around and I'm scheduling for the entire weekend of programming it will very likely return. The Theme-Block I did back in January seemed to go over rather well (at least, I think so) and when I get my hands on enough fan parodies I want to do a whole day of them...something to the tune of "Paro-day Saturday", or some other madness. I already have more than a few lurking around my library; S.T.E.A.M.: The Movie This is Otakudom Evangelion: ReDeath Dead Bunnies Aren't Much Fun Super Mario Bros.: Part 66 The Dirty Pair Does Dishes (for Nostalgia @ Noon) Fast Food Freedom Fighters' Utena Parody Dub
I know there are more out there but I don't yet have them (Nescaflowne, for example) but I know the guy who ran the fan parody programming for Otakon a few years back and I should be able to get them from him. We'll see.
Come to think of it, "Ghost Stories" almost qualifies. Which reminds me, I now have the entire series. I believe I showed the last volume (#5) at Dreamation. I may break it up over two days, some on Friday and the rest later at night (it is some pretty raw stuff!) on Saturday.
More info forthcoming. Till then, be seeing you... Brian & Malak

I can bring Paprika, now with BluRay-res goodness! I will also bring the Anime Binder of Doom TM so if there are any requests that don't make it into the schedule, I can run them BTW I have the complete Dai Mahou Touge

I don't want to schedule something in raw japanese, especially a movie by Satoshi Kon. I'd rather wait until it can be show with the broadest appeal. That and I don't think we'll have a blu-ray player handy. Nor would I ask you to bring something just to show one flick. It (Paprika, not a blu-ray) is on my list of things to buy once it's commercially available out here so eventually it will be shown. As for "Dai Mahou Touge", I haven't seen it and I don't show anything my staff or I haven't seen first. Is it available via bittorrent so I can screen it? One other note for those who haven't heard already, Buddha and I will not be there after Thursday afternoon. Otakon is the same weekend and we will be down there slaving away in the spice mines working the dealer's room. It's a commitment we cannot avoid but it won't stop the room from running in our absence. Others will be there to keep things going and then the C.H.E. will step in for the rest of their nights.

It's a Blu-Ray ripped as a .MKV (H264/AC3) with Adv Substation Subs As for "Dai Mahou Touge", I haven't seen it and I don't show anything my staff or I haven't seen first. Is it available via bittorrent so I can screen it?
