Doremi has a copy (Prepare yourself Cheesy)

http://www.doremi-fansubs.com/

I have now seen this show...and to see this show is to look into Nietzsche's Abyss, have it look back into you and have it wink in some terrifyingly adorable fashion...just before it consumes your soul, damning you to an empty existence full of self-loathing and doubt.

Oh, yeah...it was pretty cool too.

Hmmm...there's a thought. A magical princess show based on the works of Friedrich Nietzsche and Charles Darwin. How's THAT for a mind-twister?!  Grin

Seriously though, I will have to pass on "Dai Mahou Touge" and (especially!) "Beating-to-death Angel Dokuro-chan" until Dreamation. The main reason is because of the content. I wouldn't feel comfortable showing them before 10pm (when the CHE will be running). I mean really, there are a number of quasi-humans children running around these cons now. The ultra-violence of both and the very strong innuendo of the latter is CONSIDERABLE.

If y'all can forgive me for making such a decision I can guarantee it making on the schedule when I have the entire night to run. Besides, Ted's new post about another season of Dokuro-chan could mean more eps to show at Dreamation. We'll see.

By the way, are there ANY more new suggestions? Maybe something a little less bloody/gory?

There's another show I failed to mention that will probably be on the schedule, "Kaze no Stigma" or "Stigma of the Wind". Neat stuff from what I've seen so far.

On the topic of the Cherry Hill Experiment, I've received their schedule. The room's basic layout will most likely look like this...

WEDNESDAY
Anime: 6 to late night (whenever I feel like closing)

THURSDAY
Anime: 12pm - 8pm
CHE: 8pm - 4:30am or so

FRIDAY
Anime: 12pm - 8pm
CHE: 8pm - 4:30am or so

SATURDAY
Anime: 10am - 8pm
CHE: 8pm - 3:30am or so

SUNDAY
Anime: 10am - 12pm/1pm - close
CHE: 12pm - 1pm "Awards Ceremony"

Only some last minute changes or staff availability should change it. I'll have my schedule done and posted by July 1st. The Experiment's schedule must remain a closely guarded secret until the con.

Shocked  Why? Sweet zombie Jesus, WHY? In the name of all that's good and sweet in Odin's beard, WHY???

Maybe because Western Civilization is more derived from greco-roman sources. Y'know, where the Gods are a bunch of shallow, vain and decidedly cruel bastards! Sadly, I doubt dear Odin has much say in such things.

Hey! That reminds me!! I should put "Arion" on the schedule sometime in the future! Maybe a whole block of programming involving Gods & Devils/Angels & Demons?
Devilman
Arion
Eva
Ah! My Goddess
Devil Hunter Yohko
Saint Seiya
...such and so forth.

::sigh:: I tell ya, Brian - love working with you, but sometimes I think you need some serious re-wiring. Wink

...and now I'm sure of it.  Roll Eyes   I mean... for example, I like Eva as much as the next lobotomy patient (you just gotta like a series that was written under the influence of psychedelic hallucinogens), but there's only so much gray-matter that can be removed in one sitting!

Ah! My Goddess (ova or movie. The TV series would run all day)
Haunted Junction
Phantom Quest Corp.

Not that it fits in the theme, but...

Hayate no Gotoku

just cause it's just goofy funny

Hey y'all!

Here it is, the finished Anime/Video Room schedule. I have not, as per their wishes in the past, included the Cherry Hill Experiment's schedule, save for when they'll take over the room.

As always, this schedule is subject to change between now and the con itself. Hopefully the paper schedule brochure I always supply will reflect any changes that have to be made. But without further ado...

Dexcon 2007 Anime/Video Room Schedule

WEDNESDAY

6PM - 8PM - "Ergo Proxy": In the domed city of Romdeau humans and robots, referred to as Auto-Raves, live in utopian harmony. This delicate social balance is jeopardized by a series of murders and the outbreak of the Cogito Virus which grants androids self-awareness and a capacity for violent self-defense. Re-l Mayer, an inspector in the Citizens Intelligence Bureau tasked to investigate these disruptions, finds herself in an ever-deepening mystery when she stumbles upon a secret government project involving a humanoid called "Proxy".

8PM - 10PM - "Monster": Kenzou Tenma, a gifted surgeon, has seen many ups and downs in life. His rising career and high-profile engagement seemed secure until a morally correct decision left him the victim of hospital politics. Later a series of bizarre murders have put him at the top of the hospital staff, and the list of suspects. Now Dr. Tenma must clear his name and find out if the killing spree is connected to the boy who's life he saved on that fateful day.

10PM - 12AM - "Black Lagoon": Okajima Rokuro was a completely average Japanese salaryman. That is, until he's sent to the asian South Seas on extremely sensitive business. Now he finds himself kidnapped, ransomed, shot at, declared dead and hunted by mercenaries, all thanks to the crew of the pirate vessel Black Lagoon. With nothing else left to lose and danger all around Rokuro embraces the fate thrust upon him and does the unthinkable, join the crew and finally starts living his life to the fullest.

12AM - 1:30AM - "Highlander: The Search For Vengeance": From director Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Ninja Scroll, Wicked City, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust). Colin MacLeod is on a quest for revenge. His nemesis, Marcus Octavius, the roman despot who killed his wife centuries ago. In the not-too-distant future, once again he faces his hated foe in the flooded city of New York. Can he put aside his thirst for vengeance to help the suffering people or will his quest consume him?

1:30AM - Viewer's Choice

THURSDAY

12PM - 2PM - Nostalgia @ Noon "Transformers: Beast Wars": Centuries after the defeat of Unicron and the Decepticons the Cybertronian Wars begin again. Maximals and Predacons, descendants of the original Transformers, wage their conflict on a seemingly insignificant world which is as rich in energon as it is mysteries.

2PM - 4PM - "Kaze no Stigma": All clan members of House Kannagi are adepts in using fire powers to fight evil spirits...all save for Kazuma. Banished for his seeming inability he returns four years later as an exceptionally powerful wielder of air powers. Meanwhile a series of Kannagi member murders point to Kazuma as the most likely suspect. Although protesting his innocence, he is more than ready to take on the entire clan. But who is really pulling the strings? Will Kazuma have to join with his despised former brethren to unravel the mystery?

That is, until an avaricious nobleman pushes him to take up arms, form a rebellion and wage a war for justice.

Against the backdrop of rising discontent within the German people, a possible way home may have have been discovered by the Thule Society, an occult organization with ties to the National Socialist Workers Party. No hallucinations, Doctor. It done did exist. I may even have a few episodes lurking around on VHS in EP mode...back when a blank tape cost at least five dollars for a respectable brand.  Cry

It aired on CBS around 1989, usually at 11am or so. Not only that, it was developed by Chris Columbus AND had music supplied by Don Felder of the Eagles (as well as a couple o' kick ass tracks on the "Heavy Metal" OST).

Enjoy!!  Grin
