'tis a shame, with all the talk of the potential that the hotel had, I had honestly looked forward to it.  I can only hope that some of the GOOD things we saw in Woodbridge can be taken to East Brunswick and say "these are areas we'd like improvement in... what can you do?"

I hate to say this but I have to wonder if it was some one at the convention that was responsible.  First of all the knowledge of when people would be around and their cars vulnerable makes me wonder.  Second the fact that the theives would take gaming materials at all especially in favor of technology that would have a broader market and be easier to sell (ie the car stereo, the car itself, the ipod equipment mentioned).  Either the area had some rather geeky thieves in operation or it was closer to home (maybe a new comer or some one taking advantage of a hotel with lighter security).

Someone tried to rob me. My lock was busted like someone tried using a screw driver, the plastic cover partly pleaded up and the lock unusable. I know for a fact it could only have happened between 5:05 and 5:30 Saturday. For all I know I could have walked in as the prep was in the act as I wasn't really paying attention at the time (eating fried rice).

I doubt it seriously.  We've heard now from a variety of sources that the hotel is not unfamiliar with the phenomena of a rash of breakins when there's a significantly sized event happening.

What do you mean by lookout? DEXCON will be at the EB Hilton as will next year's DREAMATION and DEXCON.

I HAVE AN UPDATE!!
After talking with Avie on the phone (thank you again!) I called my credit card company, I'm insured on everything bought in the last 90 days!!  It won't be much, but at least it's something!

I'm trying to figure out how I'm gonna scrape together the money to rebuy my lost games and hardware.  My father's informed me that there's money aside from past funds and my mother's passing...so I guess I'll be tapping some of that.
