I just got the chance to log in to post.  I'm glad to see you're at least calm enough to get on the forum!

For people who don't know, some f-wad broke into Dave's car and took a bunch of stuff.

That puts it mildly, still sorting through the damage.

BTW, I wanna say, anyone I may have insulted while I was fucked up, I'm really sorry.  Thank you A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped me...I really appreciate it.  I just got home, found my PDA, and found out that I did INDEED back up my book!  I lost 12 pages!  I didn't even realize I did that!  A lot is still missing, and the loss of my portable HD is a big deal, but I think I'll find a way to be ok...

Going to a gaming convention as senior staff: Indentured servitude
Being auctioneer for an hour and making yourself look like a fool: Enjoyable
Getting to know an acquaintance become a great friend and helping to make sure he is okay: PRICELESS

With all things in life that come your way.  Sometimes the worst that can happen becomes a nice bottle of mountain dew to help keep you going through the night.  It all becomes livable when you realize the support network that truly is around you through thick or thin.  To you Dave I raise my glass in toast for as we are similar I don't think I would have handled it as well as you.  But I think your handle should be changed to Whaling Banshee. Wink Oh and I'll be stopping by today to see how you are and to also drop off that paper work for you.  I apologize for not giving it to you last night but I forgot and I didn't know where it had snuck off to in the car.  Oh and I do accept an apology about my hairy ass...Smiley

Take care

Oh, thank goodness.

You have no idea how relieved that makes me.  My heart really hurt all of last night for what you lost.

Could you post something nagging people to go back up their stuff Right Now, speaking as a voice of authority? :-D

What a huge ball of suck! I'm sorry to hear about your trouble.

The only thing that probably saved my poor little hatchback from the same fate was the proximity of my space to the front door. I packed my games and suitcase into the car Sunday morning, but didn't leave until 3:30 pm.
