It's back at the East Brunswick Hilton, so that should solve many of the problems that happened at Dreamation. I will probably be there, and I'm still mulling over going to "the dark side" to be on the board gaming staff. Yes, I know. I'm seeing the shrink next Tuesday. Mike C. "Luke, I AM your Game Master."

Number Three as I recall from former cons is a conscript in the Linda / Big Board zone. And he is hard working and has a great sense of humor (two things that are REALLY REALLY necessary!)

Speaking on behalf of Big Board. I can say we heartily welcome your assistance. And are glad to have your diligence and attention to detail. I have worked with you in the past and look forward to doing so again.
I will see you at the con. And I will speak with you and Linda beforehand to make sure everyone is one the same page

Well, I submitted board games that I'm willing to run, and I've e-mailed Carl and Randy. I know Barbara, Ruth and June from past game cons, DE and otherwise. Still waiting for word, I was told it's been determined there are enough board game staff people, so I don't know. In either case, I plan to be at Dexcon from Friday to Sunday. Looking forward to seeing old friends again, like Henry, Paul Birnbaum and Tiny.

If it matters, I can vouch for Mike as he's been at Dexcon and Dreamation and has staffed at a few Ubercons as well running a lot of the more familiar commercial games.

As I have already told Mike, Tom, and the others who asked: it has been decided that we have enough Staff and GM for the boardgames area this year, so we are not planning to issue any more free badges at this time. That may change next year. Anyone who feels they have special circumstances that should be considered must contact Vinny or Tiny directly. When the BG schedule is published, we will be looking for signups from volunteers to teach the rules. That is the starting point for earning a GM badge. If no one signs up to teach a game, a staff member or GM will be assigned to teach it. The staff and GM are responsible for all of the paperwork. Best, Carl

If there is anybody who wants to staff and is NOT needed on the BG staff, please have them PM me. I will set them up with a schedule for another department.

Well, J. Posting here was a good start. I run Outdoor sports, and we are looking for volunteers in that department. If you are interested in helping out there, please send me a private message and we can talk more. Aside from that, As Avie posted, she may be able to assist matching you up with a department that is still in need of hands.
