Land of Confusion

[Dr. Ashleigh Connors]

Sibyll and Ashleigh settle themselves in on their bikes.  Ashleigh straps on his helmet, and reaches down and back, patting Echo's leg reassuringly.  He taps on a few more keys on his bike, and the motor screams to life beneath them.  Inside the helmet the visor lightens, as a heads up display showing various bits of what appears to be operational data for the bike appears.  Ashleigh's voice comes through soft and clearly through some speaker in the helmet.

"Holo LCD display.  And you can speak to Sibs and I normally.  The mike in the helmet is on vox, and will transmit to ours.  If you're all set, our next stop will be the ferry dock out to the island.", he explains.

Sibyll then inquires, "Miss Gamin, I can signal ahead to the island to have something comforts waiting for you.  Is there anything in particular you desire.  A specific meal, perhaps?"

[Echo Gamin]

Oh. Right. Food. I forgot about food. When did I last eat? The hotel maybe? Did I have an energy bar yesterday? I can't remember...

Her appetite leaps to attention. Now that food has been mentioned, Echo is bluntly aware that she's starving, but it's been so long since she had a normal meal, she draws a blank. "I don't really know what I want. I am pretty hungry though. And tired. I haven't been sleeping well ever since-- for a long time."

[Dr. Ashleigh Connors]

"Do you have any dietary restrictions?  And do you have a preferred form of sleeping surface?", Sibyll continues.

"Sibs, sweetie, cease inquiry.  She just made human contact again.  Let's not push this. 'K?", Ashleigh counters, silencing his partner.

Ashleigh twists the throttle handle bar, revving his engine.  "Hang on Sprout, cause here we go!"

With a slight jolt the bikes scream forward, as the riders head off towards the east.

[Echo Gamin]

Soft. Soft is good. But not okra. It's slimy.

Then the child holds on tightly to the safety of Ashleigh. All at once she begins to feel more at home in the annonymity of pure speed.

Forcing the inside of her brain out of her mouth, Echo manages, "Sibyll? I don't really like okra."

[Blackfell]

"Everyone else has left. I guess I am Ronin here in the Umbra too."

In the distance Blackfell hears motorcycles thrum to life and speed away. She sighs heavily shaking her head. She turns and looks at the now closed hotel she found herself in.This place smells and looks nothing like the Umbra she has known. But she will find her way, she has too. Moonchaser still calls to her in her heart. Wiping silent tears away she sighs and begins to walk detrimentally away from the hotel.

(ooc: This was in proper nowhere near the hotel. Echo has super speed, and she'd been running for hours away from where the hotel was.)
