Depressingly this isn't that suprising.  Back when I was cohosting the Lou Gentile Show time travel came up a few times.  Aside from the little detail (as you may know) that theoretical models do exist that should absolutely work if we could build them (at least two models have been proven mathematicly) we had two sets of guests on who claimed to do so.  One who's name I forgot even sold his machine over the internet proclaiming he'd never had a return (of course since returns were good for store credit only this is not suprising).  Second was the some what well known Al Beilack and Preson Nichols who claimed to be part of the Philadelphia experiment (Bellack claims the US govt sent him back in time and age regressed him wiwth a memory wipe so he wouldn't remember their experiments (darn government you'd think they'd have learned from those pesky grays that mind wipes are about as useful as 1 sided dice).  While Nichols and Bellack were very nice fellows and seem absolutely convinced of what they were saying personally I think they were imagining things.  Made for good radio though.
