All that I know I learned after I was thirty.

« on: June 03, 2008, 10:41:19 PM »

Hello everyone! it's your friendly neighborhood waffle again!  I was looking through the board and didn't see this thread so I figured I would start it.  And if I missed it I's starting it again!

What is your characters main theme song?  What would you be playing to the crowd if you where to walk down the ramp one reason or another, in front of millions of cheering fans? Also if there is more then one, say from before the nexus and one after include both.  I ask this for three reasons, one, I am bored.  Two, I think this small question may cause thought into what really drives your character, and three I may throw together a CD with these songs, just for the heck of it.

For me, Jack's main theme is "I" by Black Sabbith with a lead in from the first Bruce Campbell Old Spice commercial

Alex's theme is "Down with the Sickness" originally done by Disturbed, but I prefer Richard Cheese's version of the song for Alex, because of the oddity of hearing that song done lounge style.

Yeah see i been thinkin bout this for a bit and i would have to go a lil askew and say that Shamus' song would be a song by the Wolfe Tones-The rifles of the IRA that would fit him perfectly

Just one small comment, stuff "to strut down a ramp by", ain't always easy to find.  Some character are just not going to have "struttable" material.  But here's a go for now.

Seneca: Nightwalker - Vanden Plas
Dr. Ashleigh Connors: Kermit the Frog & The Muppets - The Rainbow Connection (creepy thought no?)
Sibyll Alexandra: Daughters -  John Mayer / Orgy - She Dreams in Digital

Cody has QUITE a few songs. But her main theme is Jewel, "Hands", Ani DiFranco's "I'm No Heroine", "Studying Stones" and "Up, Up, Up, Up Up, Up", Joanna Pacitti's "Watch Me Shine", Pink, "God Is a DJ" and "Trouble"... The list really does go on.

Spencer's is Tori Amos, "Strange Little Girl" and "Little Earthquakes".

For Frig'emall it would be "TNT" by AC/DC or "Their Coming to Take Me Away".

For Mack it would be Queen's "Who Wants to Live Forever?" or Perhaps "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple.

Picturing either Zero or Tartuia strutting a runway has me in stitches.

That said, for Zero, something by Schoenberg (post 1921, of course).  Or some J.S. Bach -- take your pick.  (Douglas Adams may have been on to something with that.)

For Tartuia -- hmm, so many possibilities.  I'll get back to you on that.

Carlos: The Wake of Magellan, by Savatage.  I made the character after listening to the album, which is pretty much his story, with a few fill-ins here and there from other groups.  I have 1.5 CDs of theme songs for him (Still working on rounding out the 2nd one, it don't quite jive yet.)

Garrun: Many, many odd ones, but probably "Of Wolf and Man" by Metallica.  Again, he has a full CD of songs, starting off with the theme to the old Hulk TV series.

(Burns of both CDs available upon request, if anyone is interested.)

†  Sebastian, too, has a CD compilation that traced his life - it concludes with his current song "The Lonely Shepherd" by Zamfir (master of the pan flute!)

Some rat bastard pilferd (go figure) the Lightfoot "soundtrack" that I had made for about 15 of my members.  Since according to the rules it's "inappropriate" to walk down the halls with my radio blaring John Cena's theme "MY Time Is Now", I'll have to stick with the old stand by.  George Throgood and his Delaware Destroyers  "Bad To The Bone".     You still can't see me  ;-)

I actually remember a goodly portion of that soundtrack...

"Mr. Bad Example", Warren Zevon.           I made another Lightfoot soundtrack which is the one Mark is reffering to.  That one has "Woke Up This Morning".  I'm pretty sure the first one didn't have it.
