†  As this thread has taken on a second life apart from the actual roleplay and action, I threw up this side-thread:

OOC: This item sounds alot like a limited use portable Hole, only better since you can apparently use it as a Terran with no EM cost. I thought we were strictly forbidden by Vinny from having these made? Can we make portable hole like items now?

†  The item is based off a limited version of Super Speed and is limited to a single assigned weapon

Super speed allows you to draw an extra initiative, in this case allowing the draw of a weapon, if you have two I suppose it could be 3 initiatives. Why is there not a drawing of two more initiatives, and/or a cost of 3EM? Are they charged items? Did we not say that items have to stick at least pretty close to the ability it is simulating. You would also have to be activating 2 identical items at once, this seems a bit tricky too. I could see using one each round perhaps.

See my personal opinion i think of it as a rule on itself with this holster its not super speed its not portable hole its a tactical holster a whole nother ruling where he took minus 15 from his init (although i think it should be to his first attack calc.) which is pretty big for some people so he can pull another gun at the same time. My problem is that for some reason you can have more then 1 weapon in your ready pouch unless stated otherwise. So yes i can carry 20 guns on me but only 1 can i pull out unless the card states otherwise? It seems a bit odd to me that you can't do this expeccially if you have a house power or lord power that allows you to use 2 weapons at once. Now yes i know that the GM's are most likely working the rules out as we speak atleast we hope they are. I see it as any person trained or not can pull 2 guns at once how well they do it is the case in point. I find it messed up that only house/lord powers can allow you to do something and if you don't have it you simply can't no matter how hard you try. My 2 cents would be put a serious penelty on your OR/DR for melee and DR for ranged  so yes i can shoot you but being at oh say a minus 50 to your calc. as long as you hold more then 1 weapon in your hand and i think that should go to being attacked as well as attacking would stop people from bringing any type of problem up but hey im not a GM so i can't make the rules only put my thoughts into the Suggestion Box only later to find out it went straight to the furnace and my suggestions kept the house warm all winter.
