That's the weekend before Thanksgiving. I've got family in PA, if I can fit it in my schedule,
I'll try to come down.

the body in the trunk was left over from the star trek con the week before it was only found as we were packing up shorecon, and as for the flaming robots well there was that and the leaky roof over the computer gaming area, then the following year the leaky roof in the war gamming room , the loss of the hot water on that one saturday from the 3 bus tour loads, my god we had alot of cons at that hotel Im having flash backs ,im going to go hide in the corner now in a dark room trying to forget

Ya know, when I saw the words 'old hotel for Shorecon,' I immediately thought "Shorecon '94" - which had their own level of 'fun' stories...

I'll add that SC-94 was my introduction to conventions in general.  Obviously it did not deter me *too* much, though the next con I went to regularly was PrinceCon.

I remember the flaming robots... Good Times...

I also remember getting ready to cancel an event that was for 15 players and then just minutes before getting ready to pack up, we had 35 people show up to play.

That hotel is also home to the quarterly HorrorFest cons in the area. Living no more then 10 minutes from the hotel, I might have to swing up to PhilCon this year. Hopefully it isn't going to be a dry as the one year we attended.
