One further complication, there will be no internet gaming.  I.e., no EverQuest, World of Warcraft, City of Heroes/Villains, etc.  We deal strictly with a LAN Setup only.

Painkiller is a fun shooter, and Quake 4 most definitely, OOH And Stepmania CVS, Halo for us that suck at console FPS controls, and Doom 3. And perhaps some netplay emulators? You can stilil do those over a LAN, not just on the interweb.

You should put some classics on there.  Call it the "M4d Sk1Lz Ch4113ng3" or something equally horrid.  Run only games that at least 5 or 6 years old, especially stuff from the pre-3d-hardware-accerated era.  Was there a multiplayer version of the original Doom?  That'd be awesome.  Get some BZFlag going too.

"Oh, my Gord!  That giant red blob is going to kill me!"
"That's a demon."
"That doesn't look anything like a demon!"
"When I was your age, we didn't have these fancy graphics cards and laser tracking mice.  We had to code every game ourselves, used only keyboards and command prompts and thanked them for the oportunity..."

UT2k4 v3335 is on the LAN

As are the following mods:

Action UT
Troopers
HamsterBash

FragOps will be installed at BetaCon

A LARGE (50+) map install will also happen at BetaCon

As for UT2k7... Release date is 3Q 2006

EDIT: Troopers was removed in favor of Battlefront
