[Gunsmoke] Musings of Espers
« on: April 18, 2006, 11:57:59 AM »

Esper, both her animated mindform and her still developing bioform, turn to the knock at the door in unison.

"Who do you suppose it is?"

"It can't be anyone who we don't already know. The Servbots would have blasted them to free-floating quarks if they weren't on our Friends list."

"Which means it's either someone we know..."

"...or someone who doesn't mind being blasted into sub-nucleic oblivion..."

"... or both..."

The two sentiences look up at the video monitor, which shows the view outside the door, and there in all of his regalia and splendor, with his cordite scepter and his det-cord attire, is his holy Armaments, Pope Frig'em'all.

"Frig'em'all!!" The two exclaim in unison, though only the animate one can open the door, and as soon as the door opens, the little fuzzy missile wraps her paws around the neck of his Holy-Molyness in a hug. "Frig'em'all! Good to see you again! Oh and congradulations on your appointment."

Yuri's lab is vacant except for Esper's twin forms, and the occassional quadrapedal robot stalking a rat or some other form of vermin. There is a small couch set up next to Yuri's standard chair by the television, a box of bon-bons hovering in the air near the couch, and an entire wall of Betamax video cassettes.

And gental "You've Got Mail" chimes from Esper's computer.

While the animated mindform greets his Holy-Molyness, the bioform turns her attention to the computer. Telekinetic keytappings bring up the screen. The bioform scans the text, and smiles, all the while typing out a reply to the mailer.

Once the mail tone indicates delivery, the bioform turns back to face Pope Frig'em'all.

Finding all those itchy spots only someone who knows well how she is constructed knows to hit, Pope Frig'emall gives Esper a thorough scratch down, before pulling a bomb shaped cupcake from his portable hole and gives it to his Goddaughter, candle shaped like a wick working it's way to the cupcake. The Pope still has a bunny like look to him and there are bunny ears sticking out of the sides of his hat, as well as a carrot in his mouth. "What's up ____!" As he goes to complete the sentance, a big TM pops up and obscures what he is saying.
"My coronation is at the next Gathering. You are welcome to come and see me officially made Pope. Plus, I would be honored if you would come visit me when you can at the Vatican. Just set the teleporter for the Soviet Embassy in my Territory." Going over to the bio-Esper, "Wow, you are coming along very well. I am really looking forward to you being born."

Esper purrs during the scritch-down, enjoying the treatment completely. The animated mindform watches with incredible interest as the wick / candle burning down.

The Bioform turns to look at Frig'em'all, and laughs as she notes his lapine appearance, bubbles floating up in the viscious fluid. When the "TM" pops up, it startles the bioform, but only to return to a laughing fit.

"Frig'em'all, you're the silliest, you know that? I saved you a piece of cake!" The bioform mentions, and then turns its attention to a tabletop, where there is, set aside, a piece of cake from the original "Happy Otterday!" cake, as well as an unmarked vanilla cake.

"The Otterday cake was from Sarah, while the vanilla piece was a gift from Darla Coyle, someone who I believe you should need no introduction to. How is she doing? Did you ever sort out that pesky Vlad business?"

The mindform Esper turns her attention to his Holy-Molyness with a grin, "I'd love to be there. I'll have Father set the Translocator for the Vatican as soon as he returns from the site survey for the Unified Circuit. Something about getting a ... feel for the region, or something."

The Bioform nods, "I'm very eager to be born myself. Father originally projected a birthtime of eight more months, but we found an error in his math, and corrected him. The corrected birthdate will be roughly in four months, perhaps even sooner." The mostly complete Bioform moves closer to the glass, pressing a now complete paw against the glass...

"You saved me a piece of cake? I am quite flattered. That was a special show of love considering how much you love cake, however this piece is way too big for me. I could use your help eating it." Sharing his cake with one Esper he then moves over to Bio-Esper and places his hand up to Esper's Paw. "You two are like my own children and will always have a place at the Vatican." After some time of visiting and catching up, warning klaxons begin going off, and several bits of activity happen which lead up to another topic, continued elsewhere.
