(Gunsmoke) what to do with sneaky scientists
« on: April 19, 2006, 06:02:52 PM »

Aiskon appears near Gunsmoke, and makes her way quickly to the Octogon base.  She goes to the entrance, and uses her communicator calls inside, "Yuri? Cassie? Anyone there?  We may have a problem."

The door to Gunsmoke opens as Aiskon is reaching for her communicator.

"Esper contacted me the moment they received your warning. Hurry, this way."

Yuri will lead Aiskon down the dizzying corridors to his section of Gunsmoke. There she will find both of the forms of Esper, the Mindform and the Bioform, busy at work: The Mindform scanning the area with the Freeside Satellite, updating the photographic surveilance every so many picoseconds, while the Bioform is busy handleing communications and data processing.

A table has been set up with recent data and orbital surveilance, "Esper has been tracking the situation the moment you gave out the warning. Esper's Mindform is currently scanning the area, and has facial recognition running on the members of the incursion team that glanced up at the moon, while Esper's Bioform is working on co-relating mannerisms and possessional data in an effort to identify the team based on auxillery data. Their body language, and their possessions, mostly."

Yuri points to the individule with the sphere rolling behind him, "For instance, Esper has positively identified this one as Deckteck, the Octagon of the code."

"This is a powerplay at lunacy. Although..." Yuri thinks, then turns to Esper's Bioform, "Contact Socket."

Yuri turns to Aiskon, reaching for his psychic broadcast telephone, "I think I just found where to point our infamous War in a Can."

Both the Mindform and the Bioform do not break stride. With a simultanious "Yes, Father." they set to their tasks.

The Bioform of Esper will attempt to contact Socket by the only means known to her at the time, the contact number he left on his "Join my war" brochure...

Already at Gunsmoke visiting Esper Pope Frig'emall notes the activity and joins in when everyone arrives. "Yuri, Aiskon, Good to see you. What's going on?"

Both the Mindform and the Bioform reply, in part....

"It's the Amber Code..."

"...They're at Bonehenge..."

"...And that's not a good thing."

OK, I agree lets contact the allies. Cutthroat would be a good choice, perhaps Valeria as well. See if Cassie can get the Royal Flushers.

Yuri hangs up his Psychic Broadcaster, and nods to Aiskon, "There, it is done. Socket has been made aware of his possible role in this scenario. However, I do have other options, but I will need Cassise's assistance for them."

Yuri cups his chin in thought, then turns to the mindform of Esper, "Esper, calculate the Freefall scenario." then he turns to the bioform, "Esper, see if you can locate Cassie, and if so, let her know what we may need. Inform Lady Valeria and Bron Price as well." He taps his temple for a second, then looks at Frig'em'all, "Old friend, the Amber Code appeared within the vicinity of Bonehenge some time previous, though their agents went, for the most part, unnoticed. Now they are knocking on the door of a focal point of power. If this behavior keeps up, they may even try to annex *our* Circuit. This, obviously, cannot be allowed to happen. I have informed Socket that his services may be needed."

The Bioform perks up, "Yeah, cause if the One Man Apocalypse can't help us, well, we may need drastic measures."

Yuri smirks at his diminutive friend, "Some would even say, retribution."

The Bioform nods, "It's entirely possible that the structure of Bonehenge may be able to withstand the blast of your holiest hand-grenade, godfather."

"Though it may need to be repaired."

"We should be able to settle that."

"There'll be plenty of folks willing to help."

"Spencer's sending coffee, everyone."

The Mindform smiles, and waves at the viewer, "Hey everyone, Seneca says hello."

Just outside Gunsmoke appears one J. Spencer Michigan. The Delphi looks the picture of food service in her white button down shirt, black skirt, black sheer panty hose and heeled shoes. Her brown curls are pulled into a low pony tail and a green apron is secured around her waist.

Hanging from her right arm is a very large picnic basket while her left hand holds a huge coffee carafe. She looks around and heads up to the front steps and to the front door.

She flattens the wisps of hair against her head, licks her lightly glossed lips unconsciously and rings the doorbell.

The Mindform of Esper perks up at the doorbell...

"I'll get it!!"

And she darts out of the room like a feline missile. She heads up the corridors at breakneck speeds, coming to a stop at the door to the endless deserts of Gunsmoke. With a deep breath, she opens the door with a glance.

<For Spencer>

When the door opens, a felinoid creature hovers at roughly eye level, the hover effect marked by a slight pink aura. The creature has a defined outline, marking it as somewhat artificial in nature. Her dazzleing Yellow-green eyes sparkle as she looks over Spencer a few times and then smiles the cutest kitty-cat smile on the planet.

"You must be Spencer! I'm Esper, well at least...." She shakes her head, "I'm Esper, it's really really nice to meet you, and thanks again for coming over so quickly."

Spencer smiles broadly, her bright green eyes sparkling slightly.

“Sure, anytime. Figure if those Amber Code people are doing something that has you in a tizzy and Yuri concerned, the least I can do is keep everyone caffeinated.”

She raises her arm slightly, indicating the basket. “I also have a bunch of assorted muffins, some bread, some hard cheeses from the market, a bunch of fruit and,” she leans in conspiratorially, “A cupcake for you.” She smiles again and winks.

“So where is everyone?”

Esper smiles that kitty-cat smile, "Yeah, Father's a little concerned about the long-term ramifacations, and that if the Amber Code has a habit of gobbleing up Circuits, he's concerned they may try to annex the Unified Circuit as well."

Esper leans in as Spencer whispers dark and sugar-laden secrets, "Thanks. It's been one of those days. Everyone's inside, so follow me."

Esper will then turn on a dime, and lead Spencer through the house, at certain key points Esper will ask Spencer to close her eyes, "...for secrecy. This isn't Yuri's domain, and the owner does enjoy some of her secrets remain so."

Pending that, Spencer will find herself no longer in a house of clay and stone, but instead in a corridor of iron and steel. The chill in the air a harsh comparison to the desert air, and Esper leads on. Through the twisting corridors, to a particular door which opens into the chaos of Yuri's laboratory.

Television monitors, comfy chairs and couches, rows of Betamax tapes, and the ever-present glow of Science! fill the area, though that's where the mundane ends.

Also in the room are numerous brains, presumably human, in fluid tanks with wires coming out of them, odd machines of gothic architecture, a power suit with a glowing gauntlet on the right arm, terminals and monitors, exposed arcs of electricity jumping between tesla coils, and in the corner, something..... else.

In the corner there rests a hexagonal computer bank, with a cylindrical tank coming up out of the middle. In that tank rests an organism, suspended in the thick greenish fluid. A felinoid, bearing a strong resemblance to the floating Esper which led Spencer into the room in the first place, though whereas the Esper that led her here was somewhat... animated, in form and color, this one looks very real, or at least it will be once it's finished.

"Spencer, I want you to meet, well... Me." The Esper-Guide motions to the tank.

<Also in the room are his Holy-Molyness Pope Frig'em'all, Aiskon, and Yuri>

Spencer complies when asked to close her eyes.

Arriving in the laboratory, she pauses and looks around. A slight in take of breath is heard as her eyes fall on the assortment of experiments through the room. Carefully, she walks towards the tank hold the future of the Esper Project and lightly touches the glass. “It is a pleasure to meet you, Esper,” she says to the tank, her voice unusually low.

“Now where shall I set these things down?”

The Soviet esper turns to Spencer with a smile on his face, "Welcome to my corner of the Nexus, Spencer." He motions around the laboratory. "Pardon the mess, but we're tracking a situation." He motions to the bank of monitors on one wall, showing views from above, high above the Bonehenge scene. He will clear off a section of the table, "Though, it is good to see you. Thank you for coming so quickly, you can set your basket down here. So, what do I owe you?"

----

The Esper in the tank will turn to put her paw against where Spencer touches, and though separated by merely a half inch of plexiglass, it is a gap that separates the here and now, from the not quite yet.

Esper's bioform speaks in a telepathic projection, a voice of awe and wonder, a voice of curiosity and joy, a voice of discovery and distinction.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you as well, Spencer. Thank you for coming."
