"Nonsense, Cody, don't be silly. You should know by now that, as far as I am concerned, you are never an intrusion." she tilts her head and lowers her eyes in a moment of consideration. "Actually, your input should be useful, and this does concern the family. I'd be glad to have you in on this -- especially since I'm likely to discuss it with you later anyway."

Cody smirks before walking over to the crib and kissing both of the sleeping twins.

"Walk with us. Talk with us." Andy smiles doing her very best Sarah impression, then grins and waves at the wraiths. With a gesture, the Amazon heads for the door leading out to the training garden.

As she follows, Sarah pauses to hiss at the wall. "No TK, No pop 'porting. No pulling, pushing or generally  moving from one location to another if Mom isn't in the room.  All creatures smaller than Garrun, possessing pulses and metabolic warmth are to stay in this room until we return." A tiny shimmer in the air between her and the wall she is addressing indicates that Sanctuary understands completely the need for small, sleeping children to remain where small sleeping children have been placed by Mommy.

Precautions seen to, she head towards the training garden where sunlight pours down like liquid gold and the smell of spring hangs heavy in the air.

When the door from the nursery is closed and she is certain they are out of earshot of the babies, Andromache begins. "Those girls," she shakes her head and chuckles. "In a matter of months they've completely rearranged my universe. All my time, my priorities-- the way I think. They've changed everything. And it's right that it should be so."

She turns to Sarah and Cody, "But I've never forgotten how this all began." She presses her lips together and looks for the right words. "It began with a boy. It began with Kisho."

"Ah!" The light goes on over Sarah's head.  "Who happens to be in the safest place in the multiverse for him currently."

Her hand clasped behind her back, Cody smirks. She doesn’t say anything as she calmly and quietly strolls behind the two older women.

"Ah!" The light goes on over Sarah's head. "Who happens to be in the safest place in the multiverse for him currently."

"I've been trying not to-- " Andromache's brow furrows a moment, then relaxes. Her voice is soft. "I know you've got more information than I do-- all the threads in all directions-- with all the insight and headaches that goes with it." She nods her head as she speaks, as if conceeding points from a prior conversation. "The good, the bad, the grey, and the plaid -- all together. I know it. And I respect it." Her tone is calm and sincere. She takes a breath and continues, with more confidance.

"I'm getting better at not knowing what's going on all the time.  Things will happen as they will -- with or without my blessing. I'm trying to let them.  I'm not trying to control all the pieces. But I need your guidance."

"When Kisho first went back with Lucas, it was hard on me; and I accepted that as irrational because, as Sigma so kindly pointed out, I'd never even really met the boy. I had no right to think of him as my son." The last words come out of her mouth as if they taste bitter. "But I helped name him. I helped plan a home for him. We were going to find a way to heal him-- to help him grow strong and be happy.  We were going to be a family." She smiles a sad, funny smile at the thought. " Between his nonexistant childhood and my short traumatic one, it was crazy to think we'd know how-- but Sigma and I were ready to do anything for him." She nodded again. "Which is why we had to let him go."

"But in that short time, he changed everything." She looks at the doors to the nursery, at Cody, and then at Sarah. " I wouldn't have the girls. I'd never know Cody they way I do now." I'd probably still be in Lightfoot for Gaia's sake! It's thanks to that poor broken boy that I have the life I have. Even if I hadn't built a dozen dozen dreams around him, I'd love him for no other reason. And I'd still be in his debt."

"Lucas has been distant, sometimes seemingly dropping all contact with anyone-- even his own House. And recently on the link, his thoughts have been violent, wrathful-- venomous. I don't know what to make of it, but concerns me to think of an impressionable soul under that influence."

She looks into Sarah's green eyes. "It's because of Kisho that I found this path-- this house." She touches her Delphi tattoo where not so long before her breast had borne a grim skull and cross bones and briefly, the insignia of House Lilith. "Maybe if it had lead me here," she gestures to the Sanctuary walls surrounding the cloistered garden, "I'd have found the faith to trust that he was in the right hands. But thanks to the children, I found my path; and it lead me to Delphi. As Oracles, we have to seek wisdom out. We probe. We question. And we worry."

"Not everthing that happens can be right just the way it is or there would be no point in mortal action. Kisho fell into the wrong hands before. He was abandoned. Traded away like some cheap toy. Horrible things happened to this child before because the woman who was blessed to give him birth betrayed that sacred bond. It never should have happened. And yet if it hadn't... who would I be now?"
 
"How do I find the faith to know he's where he should be? Do I just keep asking and listening? If the right place becomes the wrong place some day, will the Nexus tell me?"

It has taken all this to find the question she meant to ask all along: "Sarah, If he needs me, will I know?"

She folds herself into a knot on one of the benches at the perimeter of the garden.  "Two: Lucas should never be dismissed because you dislike the delivery or tone of his message.  Lesson one, Being a Delphi: 201. Madmen deliver messages nobody wants to hear, occasionally in tones nobody wants to listen to."

Cody smirks again, the right side of her mouth curling upward. “Amen to that,” she says quietly. The Citadel lightly drops herself to the ground, her legs pulled underneath her.

“If there’s one thing I know, it’s that Delphi men have always and will always confound and befuddle you. And I think they enjoy, sometimes a little too much, confounding and befuddling you. What I’ve said about Tybalt applies to pretty much all of them: there is always a reason for what they do and generally it’s to get you to do something.”

She leans back slightly and pulls her legs out from underneath her. “Damn Delphi.” She sticks out her tongue.

Andromache smiles gratefully at Sarah words and then laughs at Cody's. "That was what I needed to know." She nods. "I knew you were the right ones to talk to. Thank you."

Sarah shrugs.  "If you don't have faith in your fellow madmen, who shall you have faith in?"

She winks.  "Glad to know you're feeling better.  Want to go take a bath in peace while the little bits are safely asleep and watched by a legion?  I'll keep an ear on the nursery and you can get some down time."

"A bath? At Sanctuary?  In the middle of the day? With so much to do?"
