Event Description: Flames of War: "Operation Zitadelle - The Big Push" Operation Citadel was the last chance for the German forces in the east to wrest supremacy from the Red Army by cutting off substantial numbers of their forces inside the Kursk salient. The battle developed into a titanic struggle as the Germans repeatedly mounted ferocious attacks and the Soviets defended tenaciously. On 5 July 1943, German forces that have been building up strength for over four months finally launch their massive attack against the well prepared Soviet Defenses. German commanders may bring their own 1,500 point Panzergrenadier Company (No Air Support)or take command of some of the platoons provided. August 1944: Allied forces are encircling what is left of the German Seventh Army in what will become known as the Falaise Pocket. The longer the pocket stays open, the more troops will escape. The Fifth Panzer Army is currently holding the neck of Event Description: the pocket open. The British and Canadians are attacking from the north and the Americans from the south. The German commander has been ordered to attack south to delay the American Third Army from closing the trap. On the morning of July 12, SS-Panzerkorps advanced on Prokhorovka at the same time that 5th Guards Tank Army launched a series of attacks in an attempt to catch the Germans off balance. The SS and Guards units collided west of Prokhorovka in open country punctuated by farms, rolling hills and gullies. German commanders may bring their own SS Panzer Company of any size (vehicles only) or take command of some of the panzers provided. Soviet commanders may bring their own Guards Tankovy Battalion of any size (vehicles only) or take command of the some of tank companies provided. Event Description: UWZ: "Bolters and Claws - The Last Stand of the 9th Colonial Marines". The colony world of Brunswick had been silent for some time, the emergency beacon broadcasting unanswered for weeks. Responding to the distress signal, the DSS Dragonfire arrived in-system and after verifying the silence of the colony, dispatched several squads of troops to conduct a physical recon of the camp. Dropped in place, the transports lifted to deposit other teams elsewhere and the newly arrived troops began investigating the ruins. Thats when the creatures struck... A classic last stand... can the Dominion troops survive long enough against the clawed horrors coming for them for a dustoff to arrive or will they wind up a new snack for the munching?
