Event Description: ARENA Babylon5: "Battle of Coriana 6" The war between the Shadows and The Vorlons has come to this moment. Sheridan has brought them together for the final showdown with the alliance. Thousands of ships from a dozen races have assembled to be the largest single battle this age has ever seen. Sheridan has a plan to deal with the Ancients, but can the Alliance hold together long enough to see it through? You will command a fleet of ships using rules from A Call To Arms, Babylon 5 Space Combat game from Mongoose. The rules will be thinned out for fast play at this scale, and beginners are welcome. We are intending this to be the largest single battle ever made with the new Babylon 5 Space Combat game. There will be hundreds of miniatures! Be here to be a part of miniatures gaming history! Event Description: Flames of War: "Summer Championships". This will be a three round event with each round lasting two and one half hours. Each player is esponsible for bringing their own 1500 point Mid-War armies drawn from the latest version of the Intelligence Handbooks published by Battlefront. All rules contained in the basic Flames of War rulebook, supplemental intelligence books, and all experimental rules (with the exception of "Gone to Ground" and "Assault : Victory") listed in LFTF III will be used. Scoring will consist of the following: 1) Historical Army: This includes background of the player's army, Painting, and its uniformity. Points will be scored by the judges. 2) Generalship: Points come from the score of your games. 3) Sporting Play: Sportsmanship, or how you conduct yourself during the course of play. Using the Ultimate Warzone Ruleset, players are invited to this championship tournament consisting of three rounds. Bring an army you can be proud of, up to a maximum of 1000 points in value. Event Description: ARENA Warhammer 40K: "ORKFEST 2006". Orks have taken control of a the huge Imperial planetray fortress: Riesige Planetarische Festung Des Reiches. An amalgamation of anti-Ork forces have been assembled to retake the fortress. Ground forces are now advancing on the Ork horde along the Kriegspiel Highways. Special rules apply: Movement is time limited. So think ahead! Plan your movement before it is your turn to move. Movement on roads and inside the fortress is double normal movement rate. Troops and vehicles that start and finish their movement on roads or inside the fortress may double their movement rate with no penalty. Having to move onto or off of the green felt reduces a vehicle’s movement rate to the normal movement rate. Movement on the green felt at the normal movement rate. In addition, as skimmers do not move "on the surface", their movement rate is unaffected. Troops may ride on top of tanks as passengers. As such, up to ten standard troop models or five large models (for example, Terminators or Ogryns) may ride on top of tanks. Mounting or dismounting a tank is similar to mounting or dismounting a troop transport. Enemy troops may target the tank or the troops riding on top of the tank. If the vehicle is the target of an attack and it is hit by a weapon that may damage it, models riding on top of the tank may be hit as well. The number of models hit may not exceed the number of hits on the vehicle. If the tank is hit roll a d6. On a roll of 4+ a model riding the tank is hit as well. Roll separately for each hit on the tank. Normal saving throws apply. If the tank is the target of a template weapon all models covered by the template are hit. Again, normal saving throws apply. Enemy troops may target to troops riding on top of the vehicle as normal. As a tank may drive away from close combat, troops riding on top of an operational tank may not necessarily be locked in close combat. Aircraft are very fast and as such have special rules. They move in the owning player’s movement phase, and they must stay on the battlefield. That said the battlefield is very large. Except for aircraft that can hover as a skimmer, they must move at least 16 feet and may move up to 20 feet. They may turn up to 45 degrees for every four feet of forward movement, the turn occurring at the end of four feet of movement. (Additional rules and copies of rules will be available before the game.) Event Description: Command Decision III: "The Yanks Break Out". The breakout from the Normandy beach head has finally happened. With the moderatly effective support of the Air Corp along with a diversionary attack by the British to the east, the American army broke through the German lines and steam rolled the disorganized German army. But lately things have begun to change. The Germans have regrouped and are fighting a delaying action to allow their lines to reform. Your unit, a combat command of a medium tank division, has been ordered to clear a key cross roads ASAP to allow follow on units to engage the Germans before they can solidify their line.
