You know I was thinking D, and I found something that would just be really funny if it was true. Sure, I didn't do as well this year at Dreamation and Dexcon than I did last year at Dexcon. We could say I had bad days, we could say there were people that were truly better, either of those is perfectly reasonable.

But here's a funny little bit. There's no denying I did better last year, I won the tournament after all. But what did I do differently then that I didn't do last year? What did I do differently that had everyone marveling? Simple. I used the arcade stick. No one else used the arcade stick last year, and not a single person used it this year, not even me. Would things have been different if I used the arcade stick this year? I doubt it. But it's funny to think that a subconscious thing like that was possibly responsible.

I just got a laugh out of that is all.

now walter, we USED the arcade stick to us and ended up having it used against us by you're man kilik, master of the stick.  for me, one of your heated rivals at 7, i kno that i both chose the wrong person, and was not used to using the stick.  as for 8, the competition was much more fierce, so im gonna have to get some practice in with talim...
and then there is RMPR...

Just as a note to anyone who didn't attend Southern Exposure II.

RMPR was an official one-shot tournament at SEII. We even had it listed on Big Board and in the Convention Handbook: "Soul Calibur II: Real Men Play Random". Thanks for the suggestion, Walter! :-)

And please do keep the suggestions/requests/ideas coming, folks - the EG Staff reads these boards, and if enough people want to see us run something (or we just think an idea is neat), we'll probably do it. ;-)

Something I made in honor of my favorite fighter in SCII. Charade.

Hey Dennis, since I don't have any graphics skills at all, think you could make me a kewl banner for Kilik? It would be much appreciated.

Is there a possibility of maybe a late night CAS tournament or something for Soul Calibur III?

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Soul Calibur tournament qualifiers are at the very same time as the sessions for the game I'm running. BOTH sessions. This upsets me to no end.

Sweet because I've been practicing. Maybe not with SC3, but I have SC1 for Deamcast on a working emu on my laptop and we have the arcade version of SC2 at work which I practice on with an arcade stick, on both which I use Kilik or Taki. No more Charade for me (or Edge Master or whoever is in 3). I think I'll do ok on the lines I'll know what I'm doing in a fighter for once instead of button mashing, but like hell am I going to have a chance to win this.
