[Winks]

Winks just shrugs. "Ale is good enough. In fact, make it two and I'll bring one over to your boss. Nothing quite like the hair of the dog to beat the pain." Assuming he gets served, the goblin takes the two glasses and walks over to Bron's booth and sits opposite him. Gently sliding the second glass across the table, he smiles and shakes his head. "Been a while since I've seen someone hung over, since of course it doesn't happen to Stran. You ok there?"

[Bron Price]

::Bron slowly raises his head and looks at Winks::  "Huh?  Oh...hi.  I'm not hung over buuuuuuut  I seem to be having the same reaction as if I were.  I feel like some sort of weight has been removed from my head"  ::He let's out a deep sigh::.  "Thanks for the drink.   What brings you to the Cove"??

[Winks]

The grey, ashy lips part in a grin as Winks sits up straighter. "Well, I came to you about a cycle ago I think with some questions, but you were busy. I've been kept pretty busy at the Grove in the meantime, so this is my first chance to come talk to you again."

[Bron Price]

"Well, I'm not busy now....seeing as once again, plans have been shot to blazes.  What can I do for you"??

[Winks]

"Well, as I think i attempted to explain to you the last time, it's this whole avatar thing, or whatever it is you and Stran and the others I've seen call yourselves. I know I'm a goblin and all, but I still pay attention to things. I've seen how things are organized here, the houses, that farce of a council, and all the different abilities that everyone seems to have. I also realized I'm NOT an avatar, which means there's a whole lot of things I can and can't do. I'm only able to be here because I had to ask Tannish to give me leave to travel to other people's domains. I hate that. I hate not being able to come and go wherever I please like I could before coming to this gods-forsaken realms. I'm a planestalker for cryin' out loud! I shouldn't be restricted to some magical forest and only let out when he needs something done. Stran's my friend, not my slavemaster. Back where we came from I was an accomplished assassin, here I've been reduced to a gopher and a bartender..."

Over the course of this tirade Winks had hopped up to stand on the seat...not that it made much difference in his height. He catches himself, and takes a couple deep breaths.

"I know Stran doesn't intend to make me feel like a slave, he's too good for that. He just doesn't realize what the seclusion is doing to me. There are certain things that he'll never really understand about me, which is why I looked around and figured that you might be able to help. Your particular house seems like something that would appeal to me, as it's very similar to the guilds I've been part of in the past. So...know anything I can do to fix my situation?"

[Bron Price]

::Bron lets go a smile::  "Sounds like you would be a perfect spy seeing as you pay attention to things.  Some avatras have blocked the intrution of others to other domains.  Us Avatars can do that.  If I wanted, I could block them from coming in here.   I understand that only certain phenominons or another Avatar can affect another.  You sound bored to tears here.  I don't blame you.  If you're not an Avatar, what exactly it is you want done here??  As for becoming one of sad yet illustrious kind, you have to join a house first.  You sound well suited for joining my 'guild'".

[Winks]

As Winks listens to Bron, a change comes over him. If Bron, or anyone else currently in the Cove, can detect the various Nexal energy signatures, Winks' energy goes from that of an inhabitant, to what nearly seems like a zero-level avatar. The goblin can feel the change coming over himself, and breaks out into a smile.

"So you're saying, in order to become a full-fledged avatar, all I have to do is pick a house? That seems easy enough, but I've found there's always a catch. So do me a favor: I think I know quite a bit about yours, this Lightfoot, just from observation...but is there anything you can tell me that I may not have picked up on yet?"

[Bron Price]

I would advise you not to piss off people when you just got here right after you pick a house.  Try to stay low, keep your eyes & ears open and your mouth shut.  If you don't want to feel pian, just make sure you stay out of the way of most things.  If you don't have a problem with who's in charge with Ligfhtfoot, I don't see anything wrong.  If you have a problem with someone IN Lightfoot, do you resolving here in the Cove.  NEVER display aggresion to ward a Lightfoot in public.

*Shamus comes blasting through the doorway "B"lines right for a table puts his head down and lets out a great giant groan, as he pulls his head up his eyes red as can be with some weird murkyness to it are wide open. As he's pulling his head up he's pulling air through his nose as if its his first breath in years and then puts his head back on the table with his arms crossed over to cover the light.*

[Bron Price]

"Excuse me.  I have to go say hello to a comrade".  ::Bron walks over to Shamus' table and motions over to Bobby for a round of drinks.  He sits down oppostie Shamus::.  "Hey guy.  You look like how I felt.  Feels like a big hangover, don't it"? 

[Winks]

"Keep my nose clean in other words," Winks says, while making a point to scratch the body part in question with a long gray fingernail. "I can deal with that. I usually don't have a problem with authority as long as the authority in question lets me roam at my leisure."

The goblin watches as Shamus runs into the Cove, and nods as Bron gets up to join his housemate. My housemate now too, he thinks to himself, and he looks down to see the Lightfoot insignia materialize on his leather vest. Letting out a small squeal of glee, Winks pops over to Shamus' table...or thinks he does anyway. He sits at his own table a moment, looks down, and is genuinely surprised to find himself still where he was. "Hmm...must be on the fritz. I'll check it later." He takes his own drink, and also walks over join Shamus and Bron.

"The way you guys feel, that has to do with what happened to the Ghost Rock, right?"

*Without even looking up shamus begins to sigh*

"I did a foolish thing Bron i decided to go drink for drink with Stran and Socket. With liquid ghost rock" *Shamus pops up his head eyes almost solid red* "oh and vodka." *Shamus glanes over at the unfamiliar lightfoot and looks him up and down* "New Guy? Good i won't be the second shortest anymore"

[Winks]

((OOC: How tall exactly is Shamus? Winks is about 3 1/2 feet standing straight, but he hunches over most of the time))

The goblin chuckles and shakes his head. "Drink for drink with Stran? I don't even do that and I live with the guy." He extends a grey-skinned hand across the table to Shamus. "Name's Winks, could be we met before, but you could say I've recently become a new person, so I guess reintroductions are appropriate." He flashes a smile that, once again, attempts to be friendly but seems like anything but.

*Without even looking up shamus begins to sigh*

With liquid ghost rock" *Shamus pops up his head eyes almost solid red* "oh and vodka." *Shamus glanes over at the unfamiliar lightfoot and looks him up and down* "New Guy? Good i won't be the second shortest anymore"

"Going drink for drink with a Godot and a Cledot is indeed a foolsh thing to do.  But hey, we all do dumb things every now and then.

It appears 'Winks' has joined Lightfoot and it does seem to fit.  We'll make him feel at home".

A pearlesscent white swirl appears next to Bron, and as it fades AElf is standing there.

“Hey Bron!” She greets with a smile and a hug “I made it back again. Hopefully” the elf steps back a smidge crossing her fingers “I can manage to stay this time around.” She then notices Shamus  “What happened to you?” she asks with concern.
