"Ah, but Lysander, the beings who accepted the Council table back were not all the elected Councilors! The lot that remained when the non-elected were thrown out seemed quite content with things the way they were. Besides, it's better to ask forgiveness than permission.

"Nevertheless I have no issue creating a building and some furniture. Socket, I love your steakhouse idea - perhaps feeding the Councilors would make them less... what's the word Daniel is always using... onery during meetings."

"But Cassie, they only needed to be members of the House they were representing, it wasn't till after they agreed that Green implemented the shortcut to eliminating Rogue Councils.  So they could and did accept the Table.

"And it remains so that the Elected Council can remove the Table if they wish, they need simply agree, and not even unanimously for that one.

"But let's see if they can agree on the decor first.  It sounds as if you're ready to start.  Apparently there are those endeavoring to move this task along already.  Let them know the job is yours.

"Oh, and asking forgiveness rather than permission comes with its own set of drawbacks.  If you are of the sort that can deal with the consequences, feel free to continue to live by it."

"Or skip the whole thing and don't bother with permission and forgiveness: they both imply a set power structure and wrong-doing.  I have yet to hear someone complain to me.. us.. whatever, directly.  A select few just got angry and stormed away.  I won't ask permission to do what I think is right and I won't appologize for the same."

*the image of Socket merges back in with Cassie*

"So we're just going to build a six sided structure to house a table until the Council decides on a decor?  Lets just do what we want and let everyone else just deal with it."

"A spectacular display of missing my point.  You've already done what you want Socket, and now you're dealing with it.  Or are you going to tell me this who explosive incident was just a trick to make me force you into rebuilding the Chamber, due to a long-secret fetish for submissive construction?

"And let me say, the Council has the ability to imprison.  I know you don't fear much, but I suspect boredom is on that short list."

"Boredom is a function of willingness to accept inevitability and inaction.  You are only ever as bored as you are willing to be.  I believe they will enjoy the new structure."

(Which hole?  The Council Crater, the Bonehenge Crater, or the Socket Re-Cleesification Crater? Smiley  Socket always shows up whenever a big hole happens...   Anyway, the Council Crater is visible in the distance from the Land of Sunshine, you're not right there yet, but...)

"Glad to see you have enthusiasm for this.  I'm sending Shazam Jr. to keep an eye on you."

Blue lightning strikes the re-formed triad and it vanishes, reappearing in another bolt at the Council Crater.  The cloud that was above the triad starts moving in the direction of the Crater.  It's taking the scenic route.
