Slight revamp then ...

While working its way through the bottles of Mike & Ken's, Zero examines the room.  After a quick scan, it starts to sit, apparently in mid-air, except that its lower half reforms into an office chair, complete with wheels.  It rolls about the room, taking in whatever controls there are, its upper half occasionally fiddling with the data thingie.  By the third beer, its dripping has lessened noticeably, but it's also distinctly less, well, sober; the chair portion is listing slightly.

"One more of theeshood doot," it announces, rolling slowly and carefully over to the beer.

OOC: Well, Linda, I'm guessing we were all waiting to see if that last one did indeed do it.  :-)

OOC: I guess so!  Let's give it a try, shall we?

Zero finishes the last beer, and looks up blearily at the others.  It has, in fact stopped dripping, although its eyes aren't too focused, and have a rather odd, bulgy shape.

"There.  Thash very hepful.  Now -- t'work."  It shakes its head (which thankfully no longer is spattery) and fiddles with the back of the data thingie, extracting a small silver disk, rather like a battery.  With effort, it puts the disk in its mouth and swallows.

It waits, blinks a few times, and looks up.  "Very well, we have some data to collect, do we not?  Please explain the nature of the research."  It gets up and goes over to Dean, looking quite eager and not the least inebriated.

::Dean looks to Zero::

"Glad to see that you have recovered for the most part. The whole nature of this visit, at least for me, is to assist Aiskon in bridging a gap between the Avatar population, and the Amber Code.  Either way, at this point, I'm still not entirely sure where we are going from here.  I know we are waiting on word from Torque about visiting some location, New...::Dean shakes his head::  nope, I don't quite recall.  Other that that, ::Dean looks over to Aiskon:: this is your show Aiskon, where to now?"

Aiskon Smiles at Dean, and then states for all who are around.

"You grasp all that I am trying to achieve well, Dr. Dean.  I would like us to learn from each other.  MY theries on the nature of energy have led me to become a sort of 'conduit' of them.  I see all as different manefestations of the same base.   This Standing Circuit is one of 5 or 6 manefestations of pure energy within the Nexus, I believe.

"I know the location of 2 others, for Fantasy and Gothic energies.

"I wish to know how the energy is manefested here, the 'physics' you may say of the device.  Energy is not created, merly changes form.  Therefore, it must come from somewhere.

"That is the first question I will try to answer."

She waits for responses from the Amber Code reps and the other Avatars present.

Zero gazes about, and looks to Dean and the techs.

"Nexal physics often obey quite different laws than other areas of the multiverse, or at least they appear to.  Quantum in particular ...  But then tests have show that Avatars, in spite of appearance, no longer actually possess a physical body, but one composed of energy, which behaves relative to the expectations of the Avatar.  That being the case, what is Standing Circuit comprised of?  Energy disguised as an energy source?  An interesting field of study, Aiskon."

It takes out its data thingie and begins wandering, making sure not to actually touch anything.

Mangle clears his throat.

"Well.  That's a lot of proprietary knowledge you're after there, aintcha?  We spent a lotta time experimentin', Journeyin', and thowin' our Delphic hours around findin' out exactly those things.  And knowin how ta work dis thing is just about all we got between us an everyone else.

"And by everyone else I mean people like House Heads that belt their own members and then drive a truckful of C4 into the Circuit, and housemates that kidnap each other, with Codites always at the wrong end of the schtick.  Oh, and a Council that thinks *we're* da ones about ta start sumpthin'.

"Now, I think we been kinda generous in our way, but tellin' folks any more details than we already have about how our main advantage works just seems like outright givin' 'em the way ta get around it.  And like I said, we're just fine with people bein' afraid of us, if they can't see we're only defendin' ourselfs.

"But hey, ya wanna talk general Nexus theories, sure.  What are those other two energy manifestations you wuz talkin' about?  They power circles too?"

Aiskon smirks at the snide remarks and answers, "Well, if knowledge is power, then why should we volunteer any?"

"Givin' away information was your idea, girlie.  I'm just steerin' it to general stuff we can all use, not stuff that can only be used against us if it gets out.  Or is it only a good idea for the Code ta give away knowledge an' services, an' nobuddy else?  Seems to me we bin givin away a lot over the years, an' only Lovious made a regular thing of givin' anythin' ta us.

"So you don't wanna share with us, fine.  We din't call this meetin' anyway.  So, we done now?"

"It has a point, Aiskon," Zero pipes up.  "If a data exchange is desired, it should be mutual.  Unless you have other means of gathering the data you seek, in which case I doubt you'd be asking."  It holds its data thingie out, fingers poised lightly on its surface.

'My dear Zero, you do understand I'm not here just to pick their brains, or learn all of their secrets.' says Aiskon.

She turns to the others and continues, "I have ideas on how life force, energy and the nexus are linked.  This place is one of a number of power centeers that have formed over our residence within the Nexus.  We know of two others' location.  There are those of us that believe that there are at least 2 others somewhere in the infinite of the Nexus Proper."

"Can you guess what they may be?"

"Don't know 'bout the other two you already know 'bout, so can't figger a pattern ta predict the two you expect.  But sounds like somethin' worth figgerin', so whatzit yer thinkin'?"

Aiskon probably gets an answer in, if she answers, but towards the end it gets interrupted by a Codite that was snoozing on some pizza boxes by the wall on the left since of the ring.  He begins agitatedly mumbling in his sleep.

"Force Field up, Photonics are working, get Grand Reversal ready in case--"

He jolts himself awake, he's wearing a Delphi house badge..

"Mangle, we gonna be attacked.  Looked like spaceships."

"Spaceships?  I think we can handle that.  When's that happenin'?"

"Tonight, I think."
