I liked this weekend.  Overall, I had a good time.  I had an entertaining time.  I didn’t do a heck of a lot IC, but I definitely accomplished my goals for the weekend, and got to witness some really cool stuff OOC.  Also picked up some nifty Lord Power ideas, some nifty item ideas, and some nifty plot ideas.  Hopefully, this next year will be very fruitful for plot! *wink*

Fav: Getting to be involved in some journeys, and some scenes.
Unfave: Being (or ending up) dead, undead, hypnotized, confused, or OOC for every single one of them.
Just Plain Weird: That being confused when things are happening is somehow not normal for Felegro.

Fav:  Getting to hang out with lots of people I like!
Unfave: The people that weren’t there and should have been (Damned other conventions!)
Just Plain Weird: The people that didn’t show up weren’t essential to any plot that I saw.

Fav: Fifteen minute Council Meeting.
Unfave: Not being there for it.
Just Plain Weird: My alarm clock settings….

Fav: Advancing the secret plot no one knows about because it’s a secret.
Unfave: Not advancing it as much as I had hoped (stupid lists!  Why do I never write things down?  Someone buy me a PDA so I have an excuse.)
Just Plain Weird: The ease at which people accept what Felegro is doing…. Hey, don’t ask!  It’s a secret!

Fav: (very, very OOC) Congrats!  You know who you are!  And you other people will know shortly.
Unfave: Very OOC hugs.  To someone else.  And you know who you are, too.
Just Plain Weird: (IC) “Why are they squirming around like that?  They look all. . . . squishy.”

Fav: Having a bunch of people over my house, and getting to cook them eggs.  I like being a host.
Unfav: Mostly, anyway...  As long as someone else cleans up.  *grin*
Just Plain Weird: How did we fit 8 people in this house!?

Fav: Lots of poker!  Yay poker!
Unfave: Losing 5000 Nexus Credits, and $8, to poker.
Just Plain Weird: That I keep playing with those statistics…. Not that Vinny’s complaining.

Other Twitchy stuff this weekend:

Item Card stuff.  Arg.  Must hit Cassie with chair.
Realization that I have to build this entire other costume by SE because, well, people are asking about him.  And I wanna play someone normal!
Evil plotting with people OOC, about stuff I’m not remotely involved in IC, just because I apparently think like a Tocsin in terms of “Bad things people don’t want to happen.”

All in all I must say I enjoyed Lovicon NEIN very much.

Favs: 1) Seeing most of my friends. 2) Resolving several hanging plot threads. 3) Making Cardinal. 4) Taking about 400 pts of damage in a round of combat without dying. 5) Cannolli Pie. 6) Resolving things with Cody. 7) Purchasing a couple cool items. 8) Finally hearing the full DOBA (with letters THIS BIG) story all the way through. NEIN) The look on John's face when Cardinal Frig'emall said Lysander and he got along pretty well. X) Having a tail I could "Tigger" it up with. 11) Talking bombs with Creighton.

Unfaves: 1) All the "cute" little losers... and their beauty contestant daughters. 2) Having to wait almost an hour to get a cart down the elevator because of #1. 3) Missing some friends who could not make it. 4) Not getting to be in all of the Godotlympics. 5) Having to fight two very souped up Avatars then not being able to help Aiskon as much as I wanted. 6) Having to watch being too loud so as not to wake #1.

I will happily see many of you at the BBQ, and most of the rest at SE2. Until then DOBA BOOM.

I had an absolute blast at Lovicon NEIN!! NEIN!!!

To try to rank what was more fun then what would be slightly unfair. Yuri got to finally meet the acclaimed Lovious, I got my special item (yay!!) and well, everything else was just icing from then on. Everyone seemed to be having fun, and that's the thing that counts.

Being involved in the Roivas Mansion plot was great cause it was awesome to see Mike run something after hearing him complain for about two or three years that he felt he couldn't run something. I was only more then pleased to prove him wrong. ;)

Until next time everyone, take care and all!

First of all my BIG fave and unfave
Fave: having a whole weekend for nothing but roleplay, it seems like its been forever.
Unfave: some really bad OOC stuff in my life at the moment, that I tried to block out for the weekend, but still managed to insert itself anyway

And now for the rest
Fave: Being THAT much closer to lord, so close now I can taste it
Fave: along those same lines, talking lord powers with plenty of people to get their opinions on mechanics and tweaking
Unfave: not being lord YET, but its ok, I've been patient this long...
Fave: finally learning how to play Texas Hold 'em, and actually being a dealer at one point
Fave: making second place at one of the IC Hold'em tables.
Fave: getting (or at least ordering) new weapons made
Fave: plenty of interaction with plenty of people, and finally getting the research started on...well...something...shhh
Unfave: falling asleep in two different journeys due to just plain overexhaustion
Fave: all of the support I received for my BIG unfave, much appreciated
Fave: more craziness with a dwarf and a leprechaun (how a leprechaun outdrinks a dwarf I'll never know)
Fave: getting involved with something that could turn out quite big
Fave: lots and lots of pie
Fave: finding a recipe for beer bread, that actually turned out quite well, unfortunately we weren't able to bring any to the con
Fave: feeding my Dragonlance addiction
Fave: finally getting Galactus!

Oh yeah, and one VERY BIG twitch
Mike: One day, you will be in charge of Godot.
Me: crap, I don't have the money for that.
Mike: And because you're in charge of Godot, you'll be head of the Council, just because you're head of Godot.
Me: NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Overall a very good weekend.

Good

Being with my buds and laughing, always a good thing.

Getting into a plot with Arzu.

Finally getting Arzu in the computer.

Holding damn fast council meetings.

Bron getting involved in yet ANOTHER plot.

Celebrating other birthdays (George IS older than I  J )

Interesting way of Lugosi changing househeads (THAT’S the Lugosi I remember J )

Flying Monkeys Productions getting ready for another launch.

Finding out that another group I lead OOC wants me to continue.

Me and my gf paid up until Southern Exposure 2006.  (Damn, I’m a glutton for punishment  J  )

Bad

Watching the mothers parade their daughters around like it’s Westminster time, complete with unwarranted arrogance.  I was waiting for the mother’s to jog around with leash and collar on their daughters.

Falling asleep during said plot with Arzu.

Arzu not being as leveled up as I thought.

Bron not getting involved until very late.
Still not being able to put up signs despite how gentle I am with their “precious” walls/doors.

Rotten timing with the con going up against other cons in the country even.  Took some of the player base away.   Wow, whoda thunk?  I sure didn’t.

All that poker.  I know this is a gaming convention but other than the Royal Flush gang IC, I didn’t know it would take a big chunk of people OOC from an AVATAR convention.

Finding out days before that I should be covering my ass OOC?  I can understand IC but  if I’ve pissed you off THAT much, one/some of you need to cash that reality check or you REALLY don’t know how to deal with me.  It’s not hard.  Ask players that actually DO bother to talk to me.

Fun con all around:

Good:
Hanging out with people
Winning the no-charge Texas Hold'em
Not doing terrible at another Texas Hold'em
Getting a pile of Items I've been waiting for
Getting in an awesome item request (the most useful thing EVAR!)
My second character hit 8th!  - which reminds me, I seem to recall something about 5th level items.... gotta get me one of them

Not Good:
Having to pass out early Saturday so I could do work Sunday morning
Leaving early Sunday morning only to find out that I couldn't do anything anyway
(no smily would do; this is much closer to how I felt):
Stupid elevators
"Prosti-tots"
Not getting an item I've been waiting for

I had a great time.

Faves

Royal Flush Gang evilness!!! My god, I'd forgotten how much *fun* it is to scheme and plot ;) And to think I was feeling that there was nowhere I could go with Cassie... Poof! Plot! YAY! And I'd forgotten how *liberating* it is to be a "misunderstood" lunatic :)

"And Lovious manifested a door..." *Mike interjects, Lovious scrawls in the book of The Story Thus Far: "that led into NE1"* *book continues writing the story*

Waffles finally running something. You did good, kid :) Not easy, either - there were such varying power levels on that journey. Always difficult to deal with. I hope to see more of the Roivas mansion in the future :)

Watching Hollywood put on a Galahad button and become a Ghostbuster with a little nametag that says "Hollywood" instead of any of the actual names. Dunno why but the moment was just really funny :)

All the varying reactions to Danny and Cassie's news - especially the ones who thought it was OOC  ;D Those were hysterical :)

The Syndicate!!!

Teaming up with Lugosi to come up with the plot/setting for LugosiCon.
"Time to give them something fun
They'll talk about for years to come!
Let's have a cheer from everyone
It's time to party!"

The mix of people. At some point the RFG was looking around, trying to think of a way to cause trouble, and realized that there really wasn't anyone there we wanted to mess with - only a few people, and we really didn't see them come out.

The Lugosi settling of House Head.

PIE!!!

The trivia contest - I am, apparently, a Lovious stalker :) That, and all the stories I've heard have apparently stuck :) I just wish I knew more about alcohol!

As always, hanging out with people OOC that I don't get to see that often. On the same thread, people crashing at our place that gave more opportunities for chatting and even GIRLY TALKING! YAY ESTROGEN!

Twitch

Famine, Pestilence, War, and... Essence of Death? It can't be helped but it does throw off the naming scheme a bit ;-)

"Cassie's got a hit out on her." "What? Huh?" "But I can't tell you that. Well, I'm not sure it's on her." "Er?" "Maybe I'll find her and tell her later." This happened several times. Really, people, either find me IC to tell me something IC or don't mention it at all.

Unfaves

I'm in agreement with Mike H. - too much damn poker! I understand it's what all the cool kids are doing these days, but really, it's everywhere! All the time! I'm part of the friggin' Royal Flush Gang and I don't have an excuse to play that much! An IC poker game as part of the plot is one thing - to have (at repeated conventions) the inability to play with people or talk to GM's because they're sitting at an OOC poker game is too much. Why come to Avatar conventions if you're not going to play Avatar?

Being Sigma. Normally I love this character, but the more time goes on the closer he gets to comitting seppuku and saying "F you all." I'd have to say this past weekend was the *least* fun I've *ever* had playing a character, and it saddens me to think he's gone in a direction that makes him unplayable because he really used to be a lot of fun.

Low attendance. Couldn't be helped, but there were some people who were definately sorely missed.

C.,

I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling so with a beloved character.  And I know you avoid GM involvement as though we were all plague-ridden, *but* we're around to help with exactly such situations.   Is there anything we can do to help you make him more playable and/or enjoyable? What happened to make him such a miserable experience? I thought with babies and all the interpersonal development and angst that comes with parenting, he'd have a whole new set of challenges and a darned good reason to live.

Since that's not floating his boat, though, I'd rather work with you to salvage the character than have you miserable because you've lost him.

(feel free to move this to email, if you'd like.)

I know it won't have quite the same style, but just for identification purposes, have you tried making signs to hang on the doorknob?  They can't complain about cleaning up after that.  Or hanging from string from the top of the door.

I had an excellent time at LoviCon despite the fact that I had to miss a chunk of it due to work. Anyway, on to the favs and unfavs.

FAVS:
Finally getting into makeup/costume and wandering around as Lee (or Bishop... the human half of Christian). Getting to be an insane oracle and confusing lots of people.

While acting nutso, having a talent scout who was wandering the halls watching me and Felegro for a bit, and then have her hand me her business flyer, and have her tell me to call her... definitely AWESOME.

Getting to RP with people I rarely get to see.

Finally scrubbing off the makeup I was wearing for Lee.

Starring at one spot on the wall for an hour and a half because I got lost in the insanity of the character. (And some random people taking pictures of me while I did it)

Someone finally taking on the mantle of an Antichrist.

UNFAVS:
The lack of people (I don't care what they were watching in the diner... the porn could have waited for another weekend)

All of the little snobby girls wandering around the hotel worried about thier beauty rest.

Having to go to work in the middle of the con.

Having to miss the paradise lost store because of work.

George forgetting about me for an hour and a half so I starred at the same spot of the wall... I could probably still find it. (this is when I got lost in the insanity)

Still not having the costume for Christian done.

TWITCHES:
Finally finding an item that I got at the first convention playing Bishop Xian and knowing that it is way too late to have it converted to the current item cards.

----

Anyway, thanks everyone for the great time at the con, it was a blast, and due to the late night rambling, we were able to come up with an event for LugosiCon! So stay tuned for an annoucement about the "Save the Citizen Tournament" at Paradise Lost.
