As much as I despise the fact of pay to play, I finally caved in and bought WoW. I haven't set up my account yet but when I do I'm joining the Thunderlord server where all the locals here play in. Is there anyone here who plays on Thunderlord?

I once heard someone talking about the Alliance/Horde debate and switchers. It goes something like this:

"Alliance will make Horder characters and be fine. But if a Horde member makes an Alliance, it's like a betrayal."

personally, I do like this quote attributed to Thrall, Warchief of the Orcs:

"We don't go do stupid things when somebody yells, 'For the Horde'."

kind of always summed it up, for me. Grin

I've decided where and what I'm going to play.

Beings that I see everyone here a lot that plays WoW, and I hardly see people from the cons, I decided I'm gonna play on Dalaran as a Horde. Now I just gotta activate my account which will happen on Sunday night.

I'll be on all Monday and Tuesday. I'm level 8 right now but that's gonna change due to the fact I have off of work Monday and Tuesday.

Look for Ikrana, the Undead Mage.

I feel dirty every time a paladin heals me.

This came up at my WoW d20 game (which most people play Horde in): There are a lot of new WoW-themed items at Hot Topic. All the Horde stuff is sold out, despite the fact that the Alliance generally outnumber the Horde about 3:1. This leads to two possible conclusions: 1) Many Alliance players are children, and don't have money to spend at Hot Topic; or 2) The Horde is far more... patriotic. I mean, I hear ZUG ZUG and THRALL'HAL and FOR THE HORDE!!! all the time (and that's both IG and OOG)... But I rarely hear people chanting for the Alliance. Hell, I'm an officer in an Alliance RP guild, and I still wouldn't be caught dead wearing the Alliance t-shirt! Smiley

think about it:

in WC3: the only heroes they really had were Arthas, Jaina, and eventually Kael:

Arthas is the Lich King, and Kael now works with Illidan.  Jaina stays cooped up in her tower all alone, and no one gives a rat's ass about her.

the horde has Thrall & Cairne Bloodhoof, who had some good sayings, and are still around.

besides, don't you know the "bad guys" (going back to the ORIGINAL GAME, don't get me started on arguments here, ok?) always have the best lines??? Smiley
