In the Nursery in Xenia, Andromache sings softly over the sleeping infants. She has changed the ancient lullabye to make the words work for her two daughters. For a moment she reflects on what they will grow to learn about the family they have been born into. There are things she wanted differently for them, but they were not within her power to give. Her eyes turning to the ocean beyond the window, she sings.
