This has always been a game I've wanted to get to far better than I actually do, with my enjoyment of the various PC Mech games out there. After reading the After reading the description, this seems to be the way to learn the game a lot better. The only question I have, is that I'm not exactly sure what I need to bring with me, materials wise. Anyone care to shed a little light on this?

Check the event description.  If the description says "All materials provided" or something like it, then you don't need to bring anything at all.  If the description says "All materials offered" then you should have at least the basics of the game and they are available in the dealer room.  Either way, judges usually provide at least enough materials to teach the rudiments of the game.  In any case, please do stop into the wargamming room and check the game out.

Pillage, then burn.

Everything is air-droppable at least once.

A soft answer turneth away wrath. Once wrath is looking the other way, shoot it in the head.

That which does not kill you has made a tactical error.

There is no "overkill".  There is only "Open Fire" and "Time to Reload!"
