My sentiments exactly.  It's a setting designed to encourage (and rationalize)  aggression between factions.  I'd be interested in how they intend on being true to the source without making everyone a space marine, and even those guys don't really get along.  You can mix races by making it Tau-centric, but I'm guessing over half your audience wants to don the Power ArmorŠ.

Well, that's half the point of an MMO - you play not only with other people, but against them, aka "PvP".

They're almost done the Warhammer Fantasy MMO, which is very, very PvP-Heavy - moreso than WoW, which is Horde vs. Alliance all the way.  Warhammer, both Fantasy and 40K, are known for all the choices you can choose for an army, and that's part of the attraciton.  Where in WoW, if you play Horde, then Alliance, you've seen both sides, here you can play Marine, Guard, Eldar, Squat, Chaos (4+ flavors, hopefully), Tau, Necron, etc.  A LOT more replay-ability.

I don't know....   I'm kind'a hopin' to PvE an Imperial Guard tanker.  I don't think the game will ever have the WoW draw; but it could be fun.  I play both Wow and Pirates of the Burning Sea with my son.  We have two accounts for each so that we can play together.  I've been thinkin' of tryin' WWII online.  As such, I could easilly see myself adding a 40k game -- maybe just for me  ;)
