Oł est la foudre bleu?

« on: June 22, 2007, 02:06:56 AM »

This Sunday marks my 10th anniversary in the massage business fulltime.  Since my birthday always gets snowed out, maybe I should have a party for this instead.  Of course there's a Gay Pride March on Sunday that has the nerve to compete for attention, and it'll probably draw all the news coverage from me.

It was the week of DEXCON 7, and I remember going to that con feeling great because I had my own business that was already going well.  But I didn't know I'd still be in it now, and still loving it.

It was odd that my business came in and DEXCON went out in the same week, though we didn't know it was the last one at the time.  I was a little apprehensive when DEXCON came back three years ago, but fortunately they didn't seem to be connected after all, and apparently there was no tradeoff to be paid back.  Smiley

If anything else, I would think that cons would be good for business - what with all the stressed out staffers and GMs, attendees on their feet for hours on end, and so on.

It's very good for practice, I never charge at a con.

Well I'm happy to say I haven't hit the hard part yet.  Or maybe I have and it just hasn't bothered me.  Or maybe it did and I just don't remember it because I don't dwell on it.  Whatever, as long as it works.

Oh and thanks all for the Happy A wishes!

You are correct sir!  As one of the proud owners of that rare "7" t-shirt announcing the return of DEXCON, I should have gotten that right.  But that t-shirt is exactly what makes 7 come to mind sooner than 6, even when it's not the number one means.

Congrats John. See you soon. I enjoy owning my own business too. As an Apple computer consultant, I massage Macs and sometimes their owners too. It was nice chatting with you over Vinnyburgers a few weeks ago. See you soon.  Ben Forest Smiley
