In the kitchen of AbhaileShin, the home of Lovious and AElf, the delightful aroma of baking fills the air. The lightfoot pauses briefly in the mixing of the next batch of goodies to go in to the oven, as if listening to something, or a thought coming to her.

“Lovious?” she calls out “Are you busy?”

After waiting a bit, a soft accepting smile touched her lips, and a idle thought on what kind of project Lovious was working on now drifted through her head.

Well there were other matters to attend to. The elf set down the mixing bowl and pulled out a sheet of golden chocolate chip cookies.   There was a certain otter that needed dealing with and if this did not bring him to her, nothing else would.

“FRESH BAKED COOKIES!”

A small MUD portal opens, and from it emerges... nothing.

A second later, four celestial otters of various sizes scamper through, followed by four anthropomorphic weasels wearing labcoats, and four anthropomorphic badgers wearing kilts (black watch tartan).

The twelve beings come to a halt about five feet from AElf in a ragged semi-circle, and politely begin to greet her. All at once.

Amid the barrage of 'hellos' and 'how are yous', the four weasels begin taking tricorder readings of the kitchen, the cookies, AElf herself, air quality, and who knows what else.

The badgers silently appraise the kitchen, quickly noting where to place weapon platforms, shield generators, and ECM systems.

As though on cue, they all suddenly stop moving, stop talking, and look back at Crafty.

Crafty chirps solemnly at AElf.

“Thank the Lady you are ‘talking’ to me again.” the elf says with a half smile and sounding relieved. She lowers a plate of cookies to the more otter accessible floor and step back to the mixing bowl, picking it up once more to tend to.  “Otters stay, Badgers and Weasels Out!”
Aelf glances over to Crafty “I’m as real as I ever was. Anyway Cutthroat is perfectly able to take ‘care’ of me if I’m not who I say I am.” She says nodding to the lightfoot otter before smiling at the littlest one among them “Cutiepie I believe I have the making of milkshakes but as I never made them before I’m not sure.” And then to the other otter “Hello Clever.”

The ferrets and badgers form a fast huddle, speaking softly but quickly. Moments later, all eight of them turn around, once more facing AElf. This time, each of them is wearing a mask made from a paper plate and some string, with an otter's face drawn on it in colored marker.

Crafty nods sagely, and begins distributing the cookies to the twelve "otters" now in the kitchen.

Cuteypie looks curiously around for Ki'bo...

A half smirk almost touches her lips  “Nice try, but its not going to work.” She states to the paper plated ferrets and badgers “Leave on your own, or I’ll vacate you from the premises. The choice it yours.”

Crafty, looking sad, opens a mud portal. They all exit, munching glumly on their cookies, confused at the change in AElf...

“Guess it was too much to ask to just talk to the Otters, so sorry.”     AElf comments as all twelve of them exit the kitchen.   Another mudportal opens and a fire jade falcon enters to perch on a near by chair and chirps to the Lightfoot.   “Be nice Ki’bo. Cutiepie isn’t so bad. Anyway he at least Spoke to me instead of the pantomime crap that he did before.”
