Well, now that I just got the new job I was trying for, I'll deffinately be able to make Lugosion, even if it's just for Saturday.  I'll go in toward a room with people, or just pay for some crash space on the floor for Saturday night.  Drop me an IM or PM on the board and we'll see what we can work out!

The hotel Mike and Linda use when they're staying at our place (cat allergies and all make it hard for them to sleep here) is this one:

http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/nycwp-residence-inn-white-plains-westchester-county/
5 Barker Avenue
White Plains, New York 10601
Phone:  1-914-761-7700

I'm working on negotiating better rates at other hotels.

The Crowne Plaza is local to here and despite the map's claim that there's nothing in 5 miles, there are plenty of local options.  I'm still compiling the list.

Updates at ... I'm not going to say updates at 11.  that'll have people on my phone at 11 sharp. :-D

So I finally took some time to drag myself out from the pile of history books I've been hiding under. I will definitely be there, hopefully there's still some crash space available. If not then I will just be there for Saturday.

Alrighty.

After tussling with INSANE sales departments at the local hotels, here's what I've got.

two exits from us, there's a reportedly clean, reasonable hotel with cheap (for this area) rates.  It's at exit 4 off 287, we're at exit 6.  It's literally a 5 minute drive from the house.  Maybe 7 with traffic.

The person I just spoke to said they have plenty of space.

I am 90% sure I am going now, since the new job was nice enough to randomly give me the day off

Good to hear!  I'm working with Sheamus to go up there Friday Night (I don't get off work till 5:00 PM) so if you are able, maybe we could all ride up together.

yeah that would be great if we can all just localize our selves in one spot and carpool up the less cars the more money we save on gas and tolls i know my car may be a lil small i can fit 3-4 people confortably (pending on size of people) and if you dont mind sleeping on the floor im sure we can work something out with that 2

While I was looking forward to a fun weekend, sometimes life gets in the way.

My grandmother passed away and I will be away now taking care of family stuff.  So I must retract my RSVP.

Hopefully I will see everyone in January at the next Con.

Have fun all and see ya soon.

Well, it looks like I can make it for Saturday and I might be able to drag Tim (Dr. Stone) along with me.
