Anyone interested in Religious Horror RPGs...?
« on: September 11, 2005, 09:32:06 AM »

Hi everyone,

Just writing to help promote a new game called Creations End and I figured there is no better place to start than on a RPG message board.

About two months ago, I was introduced to Creations End (a new Religious Horror RPG) as a volunteer gamer during the final five test play sessions.

I honestly walked in knowing nothing about the game other than the overall theme (religious horror....Constantine, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Exorcist, Prophecy, etc...theme).

Well, the game was awesome. It is definitely, in my opinion, a great supernatural horror RPG.

We played through brutal combat, possession, exorcisms, spells, miracles, creatures, cults, factions of fallen angels, secret organizations, conspiracies, politics, dark magic, rituals, runes/relics...and it went on and on.

Anyway, the gaming book (Creations End Core Rules) is being published by Winterwolf Publishing with a publishing release date of September 15th, 2005.

The Official release date for nationwide bookstores (Barnes & Noble, Borders, Books-A-Million, etc) will be October 1st, 2005.

If anyone is interested in that type of genre, I encourage you to take a few minutes to visit the Creations End website at: www.CreationsEnd.com

The website is pretty simple but the game is really great.

Sounds interesting if you want some excelent resources on spiritual war fare from people who work in the field may I suggest:
www.lougentile.com(radio show hosted by a nationally known demonologist)
www.demonologyresearch.com(the site of said demonologist's group)
www.prsne.org(excelent site by a leading authority: John Zaffis)
books:
The works of Ed and Lorraine Warren(the investigators of Amityville Ed is the only lay religous demonologist formally recognized by the Roman Catholic Church)
Shadows of the Dark by John Zaffis
Hostage to the Devil by Malachi Martin(considered one of the leading authorities on possession in the world up till his death)
An Exorcist tells his story and An Exorcist: More Stories by Father Gabrielle Armoth(the chief exorcist of Rome)

I personally am also a member of DVDR and have been investigating and researching the dark side of the spirit world for several years.  I've also incorporated some of my and others work into rpgs run at various cons.
