In a wooded part of New Aldarraan, a pearlescent shimmer of white light appears. As it dissipates a figure stands in its place, clad in a combination of garb.  Imperial boots and gray uniform pants are matched with a tunic of jedi-ish style of an off white material; wrapped around a slender waist is a utility belt with assorted pouched and attached to it’s side, the hilt of a lightsaber, which is mostly covered by a caplet of light brown worn by the common masses in traveling.

Hands reach up to pull back the hood of the shoulder cape, revealing long gold brown hair, which is then freed of any confinements by the clothing, as blue eyes scan the surroundings.

“Well, you got yourself here” the figure states to itself  “So now what do you want to do? Portal or People?”  After a short pause the answer is given  “People.  Now… where is that tavern I sorta remember being around here…”

OC: In the forest, she can feel the presense of some...thing... watching, waiting...

The figure takes a few steps in the direction (hopefully) of the tavern but then stops. Head canted to the side, eyes once again scan the area. The feeling of being watched was strong enough to cause the person to turn around looking back in the area of arrival.

“Hello?”  the being calls out  “Anyone there?”

A figure in brown robes drops from a tree, landing in a crouch. He wears a concealing hood, but he also carries a staff of gnarled wood.

Standing up from his crouch, he seems to be almost as wide as he is tall (about 1 meter high), as he approaches purposefully.

The new comer waits as the brown robed figure approaches, when he reaches a more conducive conversational range she speaks again.

“I’m looking for Amanda Kreiger” She states politely but to the point. The corner of her mouth twitches in irony as the speaker looks exactly like the one she is asking about.

As he approaches more closely, he can be more easily identified as one of Crafty's folk. A powerfully built badger, though his fur is tinged with grey, looks appraisingly up at her. A grey jedi tunic is visible under his robe, as is the hilt of his own lightsaber. "Amanda Kreiger? You would be the Other. Follow me."

He takes off at a steady walk, his staff almost silent on the thick covering of evergreen needles on the forest floor.

“The Other…” She repeats the words… a small sigh and a little shake of her head follow “Well I have been called worse”  AElf follows the badger, easily keeping pace with the furred jedi.

"It will be a short walk, we should be there in half an hour or so. She has morning bridge duty this week, so she can't come to us."

As they move through the quiet woods, AElf cannot help but to notice there are no animals, birds, or insects... No plants other than the towering evergreens...

[AElf]

AElf nods at the answer. “That’s alright, I don’t mind.”  After walking for awhile in silence the lightfoot makes a observation  “It’s so quiet…”

The badger looks up, without missing a step. "Peaceful, isn't it?"

[AElf]

“I was thinking more of the silence before pending disaster, honestly.” She replies “When the wild life of a forest makes no sound something bad is usually coming.”

The badger chuckles. "Nothing that sinister. The trees here are toxic to insects or anything else that would eat them. Something about the concentrations of copper in the ground. The leaves that drop are toxic to other plant life when they begin to decay. Animals don't come here because there is no food here for them, either plant or animal. Even if we were to clear cut every tree here, the copper in the ground would kill pretty much any other plant we tried to put here."

He looks wisely at AElf. "Besides, these trees are special."

[AElf]

“All trees are” the elf replies as she gazes up at the boughs “Though I never heard of Toxic trees before. I did not know copper could make things poisonous.” She looks back at the Badger “I’m AElfgivu by the way.”

[wcshoe]

"Drive a single copper nail into an oak tree, and it will lose its leaves and be dead withen a month. This area is very rich in copper, because as far as we can tell, a meteorite the size of a small moon hit here some eight or nine hundred thousand years ago, mostly copper. Wiped most of the life from this planet."

He tilts his head sideways, looking at her as he walks. "Jedi Master Ruckle."

“Pleasure” the lightfoot says with a nod in ‘official’ greeting “Interesting what nature can do on its own.  One planet I know of has this creature called a….” her eyes narrow in thought…” bumble bee. All scientific thought and logic state that there is no way, because of its body structure, that it can fly.”  The elf smiles, a small soft unguarded smile “Of course it does fly which in lies the mystery.” Her smile fades “Through I have heard that they recently, logically, figured it out. Apparently a bumble bee’s wings do not go up and down,” One of her hands mimic the movement by flapping quickly  “like everyone thought but in a circle” her hand then twirls in said shape in demonstration.

AElf sighs a little as she hands drops back to her side.  “Kind of takes away the wonder of it all. Sometimes I think it would be nice if people did not have to rip everything apart to see how it works and just appreciate it for what it is.”
