Amanda cocks her head to the side. "You're housemates with a lot of Lightfoot. So why does he have a bridge to your territory? Why did you think of him when it came time to go back home? And he may seem darker, but I am pretty sure it is a blind he has been putting up. He has always been hard to read, though. Now it seems like he has perfected his emotional shields."

“And that worries me.”  AElf says with all honesty

The two break through the woods and come abruptly to the face of a cliff.  “I hope you are good at climbing, the Spring is at the top.”

The elf starts heading to the side of the cliff face, searching for the first foot hold.

"As near as I can tell, somebody hurt him. But he is very good at hiding himself, even when he is right in front of you You, however, didn't answer my questions. You're housemates with a lot of Lightfoot. So why does he have a bridge to your territory? Why did you think of him when it came time to go back home?"

Taking her backpack off, when opens it up and rummages through it. It seems to be tightly packed, and it is a while before she pulls out a set of black gloves, and a odd looking belt. The belt she buckles on, and she puts the pack back on. Fastening the staff to a short rope, she attached the other end to her belt. Finally, she dons the gloves. "Ready."

“I don’t remember” The lightfoot says softly but the words are laced in sheer frustration. AElf turns around her eyes focused on the ground, searching for some memory that just won’t come.   “I know he’s important to me. And I think I remind him of his niece who was murdered in his home world.  I remember he was so torn up by her death when he first came here…he blamed himself for not being there for her.”  Blue eyes look up to met blue eyes “For you”

The Lady of Forever Forest slumps back against the stone wall behind her.  “I keep trying to recall how we met in the Nexus and I can’t; Its just one big blank. I sometimes get flashes of images - of him tending a bar on a space station in the Outer Rim… or of a freighter … but that makes no sense. I have never been in outer space let alone  on a space station.”

Amanda nods. "I think she really should visit AElfgi when you have time. Crafty said she has a copy of all your memories up to about two or three years ago. She has none of the psychological barriers that you have built up, though, she might recall more."

She looks up at the cliffside. "Doesn't look too bad. Actually, it looks better than Mountain One Spaceport. Crafty's folk have infiltrated that too, and set up climbing competitions on the outside. Of course, they are at a slight advantage with their natural claws."

“Great…” AElf turns back to the cliff and starts climbing.  A slight metallic scent is detected two-thirds up the ascent. AElf shoved herself up on to the plateau, sparing a glance to see how the Jedi was fairing, before taking in one of her favorite places.   In the center, surrounded by scattered shrubberies, steam can be seen rise off the surface of a natural hot mineral pool.

Aelf takes several steps to the side giving Amanda room to pull herself up and gazes across the landscape.   The tops of leafy trees abound in hues of new green leaves.  There are pockets of small clearings dotted and towards the east sun light glints off a rather sizable section of water.   The north what looks like a dead forest can be glimpsed, if one tries to make the different out of the over whelming greenness.
In the center of the land, dominating the terrain is a humongous tree, its canopy rising higher, and spreading out father then all the other trees in the woods.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?”

Amanda is moving exceedingly well, considering that she is, well, from the rock climbing point of view, cheating. Her gloves seem to have extruded claws that serve her almost as well as pitons would. Whenever she gets to a point where she cannot use them, she fires a grapple to another spot and proceeds to climb from there. She makes excellent time as she moves steadily to the top.

Once there, she removes the gloves, looking around. "Yeah, it is. Very."

AElf takes a few more minutes to gaze over her territory, seeming satisfied by what she is seeing.

“So….”  She asks a bit hesitantly  “Besides being totally mental, what has Hyran told you about me?”

"He told me that you strive to be a peacekeeper, a nurturer, but you tend to be a victim more often than not. Actually, I have heard more from Crafty than Hyran. How you saved him from the Chaos Wolf. How you make the best cookies in the Nexus. How you forgot somehow to leave him access to Forever Forest when you disappeared. How your disappearance was actually engineered by the Chaos Wolf."

Amanda clears her throat. "Of course, Crafty has a unique viewpoint of the world."

“Crafty does at that.” AElf agrees, “The Chaos Wolf had nothing to do with my disappearance.  I’m inclined to go with Lovious’s  ‘Anchor’ Theory, not that I completely understand it.  But some times I wonder if it is worth the effort to keep coming back.”  She states plainly while looking over her land  “I mean, why bother when I am so easily replaced by an Otter conceived Clone?  And only a hand full of people really seemed happy to see me again.  Do I really make a difference being here? A lot of my friends are gone.  And….. I don’t know, I don’t really have a purpose here.  You would never know that I’m one of the original Avatars, one of the oldest in fact, just by looking at me.  I don’t have the kind of ‘power’ associated with a, for lack of a better term, ancient.  Not that I ever Craved such a thing.  I’ve witness the corruption of too much power more often then I care for.”

A soft sigh comes from the elf  “Sorry, I don’t mean to sound all whinny.”

"Easily replaced? Hardly. They worship you, and built her in tribute. Somebody to try to cover for you while you were away. All she did was act as a housekeeper while you were gone. They certainly didn't fawn on her like they do on you. As for purpose, you won't find that until you find yourself. Hyran taught me that much."

A soft smile touches the elf’s face.  “Does Hyran listen to his own advice?”

With a flick of her hand she brushes the question away  “As for worshiping, I’m not so sure… I mean wouldn’t they have believed that I am … Me?  ‘ We like you even if you aren’t ‘AElf Prime’.’  Makes me think they believe I’m like Michael.

Amanda shrugs. "Sometimes memories take on a life of their own. When reality conflicts, then people have to choose which one they are going to deal with."

“That is true enough” AELf sits down, letting her legs dangle over the edge of the cliff.

“So you want to hang here for a bit or check out the rest of the place?”

"Whatever suits you. I'm flexible."

Even as she says that, Amanda is shrugging out of her pack, and untieing her staff.
