METATOPIA 2012 takes place November 9 - 11, 2012 at the Morristown Hyatt and Conference Center in Morristown, New Jersey.
I'll be the one to say what many will probably think upon this announcement...IT'S ABOUT GODDAMNED TIME!!!I am now in possession of the long awaited, Two-Disc S.T.E.A.M.: The Movie set, complete with commentaries, pop-up factoids and other features. For those who want a copy for themselves, you have two options.1. Have me burn a copy for you to hand over at Dreamation or Dexcon. All I ask for is a pair of blank discs in return. No payment is necessary as I am no bootlegger. (That would be E.V.I.L.)2. Ask me for the torrent file of the two ISO files posted by some unknown (yet awesome!) person. I can e-mail it to you upon request, however if someone more web-savvy than I could post it to some FTP location and then post that location here, it'd be much appreciated. And I'm sure I don't need to remind people of the etiquette regarding Seeding vs. Leeching, do I? Send me a personal message and let me know whichever is more convenient. I would like to share this with as many interested parties as possible.Till then, be seeing you...Brian T. PriceMalak the Mad
Option 1a (With Brian's permission of course):Bring 2 blank DVDs to the LAN gaming area, I will burn them for you at the con
Are the Otakudom DVDs still available?
Yep, I can make one for you at the con
Since I've heard nothing about the proposed FTP for the torrent file I backtracked the torrent to it's source. (Thanks ISO Hunt!)http://isohunt.com/download/41417199/steam.torrentDon't confuse it with a more recent torrent that has the files in NERO format. Izz quite dead already. This one is about 37 weeks old and still kicking.
I'll see what I can do about making this a DVD9 image
By DVD9 I'm assuming you mean to craft it into a dual-layer DVD, yes? If you mean to burn the unpacked ISOs onto a single disc, that's one thing. However, not everyone has the capability of burning dual-layer DVDs which would impair further sharing it with others. Or, in the words that have been directed at myself on countless occasions, "K.I.S.S."If your intent is to merge the DVD's content, menu and playback functions into one playable disc, I would recommend against it. Each DVD was put together in a particular way by Scott (the project writer/director/producer) to work in a certain way. Each has it's own unique menu and distinct style. Not to mention that I don't know if he'd be to thrilled with the dissemination of an altered version, ya know what I mean? It is, after all, his baby.Just some food for thought (to be ignored if your intent is the former).
It was more for personal experimentation (to see if it could actually be done, not for distro), but I see your point.
