[FOREVER FOREST] Visitors
« on: January 07, 2009, 03:33:44 PM »

A portal opens up in Forever Forest, attracting the attention of near by inhabitants. A group of multi colored balls of glowing lights curiously move to the gateway to see who was coming to visit.

Ω - The first figure to step through the portal is a tall, athletic woman with tan skin and jet black hair.  She is clad in tan, form-fitting leggings laced up the sides, dark brown knee-high boots, and a dark green corseted top.  Her hair is laced into a ponytail entwined by a leather cord.  Her deep brown eyes take in her surroundings as a apparently exhausted faerie lies across her bare shoulder.

A collective chiming  ‘ooOOOOOooooo’ sounds out from the cluster of glowing lights.

A slight figure can be seen heading casually towards where the portal opened, and stepping through a break in the trees AElf appears. She takes one look at the visitor, a bright smile lights up the elf’s face.  “VAL!” is the happy warm greeting given as the lightfoot rushes to give her friend a hug.  “I wasn’t expecting you to arrive this way, I’m so glad you are here, I’ve missed you.”

As the mistress of the forest comes closer a certain fairy craws back to try and hide behind Valeria's neck, as she was not able to take to the air before the lightfoot appeared

Ω - Valeria turns Aelf around, walking side-by-side with the Lightfoot, "you'll have to tell me what you have been up to ..."  As she speaks, Valeria deftly plucks the faerie from behind her hair and drops her into the air to the opposite side of her friend, allowing the creature the opportunity to float away unnoticed (Pickpocket: 39, if needed).

“I haven’t really been up to much.” AElf replies as she links arms with Val and strolls back in the direction she came from.  “Been laying low trying to get a feel for the Nexus as it stands now. Maybe I’ll try attending a Gathering soon…” she smiles the certain small warm smile of hers before sighing.. “I do have a slight otter problem though…”

Amanda silently stands by a tree, watching the byplay with a look of slight amusement.

OOC - Regarding the former, I don't think Val CAN be stunned into silence.  Regarding the latter ... curse you real life! :)

The elf puffs out a large sigh signaling the beginnings of a long answer

“Apparently when I vanished Crafty and possibly others of his kind decided it would be a fantastic idea to clone me and then set the clone up in my home. I don’t know how they managed it, well the cloning I suppose isn’t to far fetched but getting into my territory.  My land locks down when I’m gone, you know that but still they managed to get ‘it’ in here and set ‘it’ in my Home to bake cookies, or so Crafty has informed me.  Amanda told me they Cutthroat and Crafty Mudportaled her in, but I honestly do not know how that happened because Nothing is able to get in or out of Forever Forest when it is in Lock Down, and I do mean nothing. You know nothing can get in when I don’t want it and everything going into a stasis if I’m gone for a long time.”

AElf’s intake of breath becomes another sharp sigh.  “Anyway the Otters managed to get in and set ‘her’ up and ‘she’ left some tokens behind before they pulled her out when I came back; unfortunately it’s in a script I cannot read. And one of the notes almost blew Amanda up when she touched it. And on top of that no one seems to understand why I’m so miffed by all of this and that I should just open up my arms and accept my ‘New Sister.’”  The last line had the lightfoot dropping Val’s arm and clenching her fists at the mentioning of a ‘sister.  AElf forces herself to relax as she slips her arm back around Valeria’s  “Anyway from the walk through Amanda and I did the Territory seems alright, I just need some help reading the script and then maybe some suggestion on what to do from there.  OH and that Jedi over there that looks like me would be Amanda if you haven’t met before.”

"Excuse me for interupting, but that is not exactly true." Amanda steps slightly closer, as to not have to raise her voice to converse, though still keeping at a polite distance. "I did not say that Crafty and Cutthroat brought her here through a MUD portal. I said that Cutthroat did. Crafty has been terribly upset that he for some reason has been locked out of your forest here since you left. And with the bridge to New Aldaraan open, your woods haven't been entirely dormant while you were away."

The Jedi shrugs. "As for your other, nobody said you have to accept her. Just acknowledge the fact that genetically, she is identical to you. The same as a twin. A living being. Consider her an evil twin, if that helps you."

OOC - I know, I know ...

Ω - Valeria listens to both sides of the conversation and shrugs, "Aelfgivu ... she's simply a sentient being in the wrong place and time.  Our domains and territories are not as secure as you might like to believe, I've had both manifestations and avatars wander in and out without my knowledge."  The Lilith looks Amanda up and down, smirking, "well ... there are several options.  You could destroy her, though I doubt that would be the ideal solution, given your history.  You could have her banished and leave her to the wolves, as it were.  Or you could sit her down and get an idea of what her take on all of this is.  Regardless, she is no more you than anyone else, so there's no need to concern yourself over her genetic lineage."

“I’m not blaming her.” AElf says with a sigh  “I Blame Crafty.  But he just doesn’t understand why what he did bothers me and when I tried talking it out with him I have Hyran coming and ‘lecturing’ about not traumatizing Crafty because all that otter angst leaks to him. I know I know it is an impossible goal for Crafty to understand but it would be nice if he could and maybe take responsibility for some of his actions.  And Cutthroat too for that matter.”

The group comes back to the entrance to AElf’s home “Anyway if you could decipher the writing she left on some things that would be nice, and maybe share some tea and catch up on things, if you are not too busy Val.”

Amanda listens quietly, and nods more to herself than to those present. "Then, you no longer need me here?"

She raises her eyes slightly, looking briefly around at the trees. "I'll see myself out."

The Jedi begins walking unerringly in the direction of the bridge to New Aldaraan...

Ω - "Blame is irrelevant, really.  If the otter is suffering angst over his actions, it would be in his best interest to learn to deal with said angst."  Valeria chuckles at the mention of Cutthroat, "of all the villains the Nexus has seen, I find Cutthroat to be the most effective."

“Actually” AElf states as Amanda leaves “This is the most civil time we ever had together. There is this uncanny knack between us to irritate the other to no end. Her uppity I’m better then thou jediness along with always inferring that everything I do is somehow wrong is infuriating. Of course all my quirks piss her off to no end so I guess that’s a form of balance.”

The lightfoot heads down the incline and opened the entrance to her home, inviting her friend in.  As the two come in to the common room a dryad is setting a tea set, similar to an oriental style on the low table surrounded by couches on one side and floor pillows on the other.

“Thank you Sequoia” the dryad stand gives a stiff formal bow before melding into the tree resting above the home.  The elf sighs and waves Val over to the waiting tea.  “Help yourself I’ll go get the things”
