Hey everyone, I've been looking around for a copy of the Complete Ranma 1/2 collection (Movies, OAV, Series)  but have been failing in my efforts.  If anyone has any info on how/where I can get a copy, can you please share?

And as one reviewer pointed out on Amazon, it looks like a bootleg. I don't think Viz ever released a version like that. All region?
If you're going to pay for something why pay for a bootleg?

Link no work, but Anime companies release region specific versions. The only region-free versions of DVD releases come out of either HK (most of which are actually legal) or the 'Local DVD connection' (almost all of which are not).

The fact that region free releases are available on the gray market is proof that the region coding system does not work

packaging on amazon says bootleg.

just look at the "seasons" box sets below it.  the packaging is WAY different, and something official would use "official" fonts and whatnot.

And really I don't mind region coding only because of how easily deflatable they are. Yeah it would be nice if it weren't illegal to back up you're dvd collection. Althou one advantage a anime fan has as far as region coding goes it meant we didn't have to suffer Japans pricing scheme until now. Because the US and Japan are the same region code for Bluray we had to deal with Bandai Visual USA Gunbuster2 costing $20 a episode at MSRP. Needless to say the company selling those didn't last to long and got sold to Bandai Entertainment . Sold as in that's the the press release said.

Actually I seam to remember a few older CPM discs being multi-region. Interpret that as you would.

EDIT:
I just remembered Gunbuster2 wasn't released on bluray until recently and only in the Gunbuster vs Diebuster comp movie. A better example would be the Freedom OVA with a MSRP of $40 per volume and one episode per volume or all six episodes for $140.
