First Time (aka overly anxious / anal) Event  Runner here again.

Since there is email pre-registration for events, do we get an email at some point letting us know how many (if any!) people have registered for an event?

Or do we just learn when we pick up our registration badge etc.?

Or when people do or dont walk into the room?

(at the very least lets us know if we need to be waiting a couple extra minutes for a not-there-yet pre-registrant or not).

When you arrive, surrounding the walls of the board gaming ball room is a thing we call "Big Board"  It is a listing/signup sheet for EVERY event in the convention.  Anyone who has pre-registered for your event will be printed on the sheet, with their badge number.  During the convention, people may write their name and badge numbers in for any even that has slots to fill.

This is all explained in the "GM Rules" sheet which you will receive in your packet when you first get your badge at registration.  All expected procedures, protocols, and such are on that sheet.  If you don't understand anything on that sheet, again find a Senior Staffer, and they'll explain it out to you.

In fact, Big Board has a desk where you pick up your paperwork.  Go there (preferably when there's not a long line) and say, "Hi, new GM, tell me what I need to know."

What time on Thursday is all of this set up?

I see the first EVENT is listed at 7pm.

Registration opens at 6PM.  Big Board should be accessible then.
