AElf with a nod of farewell to Tybalt glances towards Val and starts wandering in a random direction for a little while before stopping. 

“I suppose this is a good of a spot as any.” She comments “ So” The elf inquires of her friend “Think calling out for him will work or should we just ‘think’ really hard?  I have no idea how good the Otter spy network is on tracking me.  For all I know if I call out ‘Hey Chaos Wolf’  we’ll be surrounded by Otters, weasels, and badgers.”

Twenty feet away, as if there all along, a black cloaked figure sits on a oddly misplaced rock. It holds in its black gloved hand a black wooden staff, 6 feet long, with oddly familiar carvings. "You should not seek the Chaos Wolf. He does enough harm as it stands."

Ω - Valeria follows Aelf with a look of indifference, her eyes wandering the landscape as she absently plays with her hair.

Ω - With no indication of surprise, the Lilith continues to walk toward the rock.  She continues to walk past the figure, her gaze taking him in, "one could say the same of almost anyone in the Nexus."

AElf keeps pace with Val, she glances over at the figure trying to place where she had seen marking like the staff held. The light foot politely asks the figure “Who are you and why such advice?”



(ooc: going to visit relatives for a week, not sure about the internet connection. Continue on and I’ll catch up when I can)

Ω - The Lilith rolls her eyes, "honestly ... how many 'Rooks' are there?  One would think that in an infinite multiverse there would be a wider variety in mysterious appellations", she sighs, "and - again - the whole asking more than you're willing to pay: nothing new in this place."

"As far as I know, one. And if it is nothing new, then feel free to ignore the advice. After all, that won't be anything new either."

The cowl of the cloak turns to follow the two as the walk,  but that is the only movement the figure makes.

Ω -  Valeria smiles as the hooded figure, "Two other Rooks to my knowledge.  As far as the advice, it shan't go unheeded ... but everyone must tread their own path."  She looks at Aelf, then back to the figure as she raises an eyebrow.

The figure says nothing more, and sits unmoving, waiting...

Ω - "Let us be off, then, Aelf ..." states the Lilith with a wry smile, "... the precipice awaits."

[AElf]

"Sure Val."  the lightfoot agrees  "But do you have any idea how to find him?"

[Lexi]

Lexi was glad to have left the council chambers and now she was walking about getting some 'fresh' air with Tsuki. She watched her companion curiously, or more so the faceless apparition that followed with her. She mused quietly to herself for a time, before she spoke, "I must ask, though it might seem a bit rude and I apologize, but how is it you AND your... escort both came to the nexus? I understand the situation that caused the occurrence, but not so much the reason... it is here. She would say 'he' for the simple correlation of a male and female pairing, but she felt inside that wasn't very right at all. She focuses her attention on the fox and she smiles to her politely, "A curiosity I suppose, I am trying to understand the varying situations of what causes one to come here in a better attempt to figure out how I came to be in this place."

[Valeria Kane]

"Sure Val."  the lightfoot agrees  "But do you have any idea how to find him?"

Ω - Valeria shakes her head, "no ... this is your plan, it is up to you to get us where we're going - hm, what do we have here?"

Ω - The Lilith cocks her head and watches the trio for a moment before calling to them, "I see the ersatz Council Meeting was unable to keep the attention of some ... I admit, it is less than thrilling."

A perplex thoughtful expression etches on the elf’s face, as she puzzles out the next move and then sighs as Val addresses those wandering in the same patch of Proper  “Aww Val did you have to call attention to us?”

"A harmless curiosity, Lexi. One that hardly needs apologies for." The fox started, its twin tails in a wag, "It... is here with me, since I still hold its name. As I said before, a name is a very powerful thing, and as long as I own its, then it belongs to me." The fox explains, and if the faceless ghost has any expression or sentiment to add, it withholds it. "It is all that remains of my once grand holding. A holding that encompassed an entire island, an ambition that reached all the way back to the Moon. An ambition, that she cut thin."

"As for how I got here, well, She sent me here.... Jigoku no Issen Kikai." she gave a pause, an ear flicking, "It means Hell of a Thousand Chances. She banished me to this place rather then kill me. She saw it as mercy." a pause, "He came with me... either out of loyalty, devotion, or the hope that one day I'll let his name go, and he can reclaim his rest." the faceless figure at this point gives something of a nod, while one of Tsuki's ears perked at Valeria's call, and the white fox turned her amber glance to her, her pelt turning red wherever the sun here was able to shine upon it. "Quite the Yotei Hako though I hope it's more productive with offerings as it was prior."

The faceless ghost merely gave a wave to the two of them, which was quickly put to a halt by a low growl from the fox.
