Let the dice roll where they may.

« on: June 30, 2009, 12:06:02 PM »

In the past seven days from June 23 - 30, the following celebs have died:

Ed McMahon - Johnny Carson's sidekick and announcer - 86
Farrah Fawcett - actress, model and former Charlie's Angel - 62
Michael Jackson - the "King of Pop" - 50
Gale Storm - early 50's actress, starred in "My Little Margie" - 87
Fred Travelina - comedian and impressionist - 66

One quasi-celeb, as it were:

Billy Mays - commercial spokesperson, numerous products - 50

Heaven's a little more crowded now. R.I.P to all.

you missed a gentelman by the name of Sky Saxon.  I have never heard of him, but apparently, he was a bit noteworthy.

Also dead this week, ~1.1 million other people no one cared enough about to put on the news.

I'd like to add another name to the list:

On June 28th Lou Gentile Nationally Syndicated Radio Show Host and Demonologist (on a more personal note friend to the point of brother and mentor)

One more. This past weekend, we lost "Uncle Walter" Cronkite. CBS Evening news anchor from 1962 to 1981. Covered all major news stories of the 60s and 70s, the JFK assassination (he almost broke up on the air), the Vietnam War, Watergate, the Iran hostage crisis. He reported all these stories in plain simple terms. The voice of authority, the newsman of a generation. Now he is silenced. R.I.P. Walter, we salute you.

And that's the way it is . . . sadly
