One thing Martha very modestly did not mention in her initial post was that all the words the Reg staff & visitors came up with were totally on the fly.  No search engines, dictionaries, or thesauruses (sp?) were used; just the creativity and ingenuity of everyone who humored us.

And I think "Marlin" was on the initial list.  Wink

I REALLY wish I could have been there at DEXCON with you guys!  And, I am so thrilled Martha posted this little game;  it helped to make me feel like (eventhough I was not there) that I could still be a part of a convention I love so well.

Bravo re no use of external aids while at DEXCON.  I will admit to having used them (here at home) to ensure my word spelling was correct, since spelling, regrettably, is not my forte.  I saw no need to torture Martha unnecessarily with repeated spelling checks.

I hope to be able to be at the next DE con.  And I hope Martha will continue some form of this game then.   Smiley  Oh ...and here are two more words that just popped into my head this morning:

"Midichlorian" was originally on the list, but was moved to a separate list for science fiction/fantasy terms.  It's floating around somewhere... I think...   Huh

It fell off because I'd spelled it badly enough that I couldn't verify it as a valid word.
