I am a part of Kitsune Entertainment.  We have run a series of different LARPs at multiple DE cons in recent years.  Mainly, I am the head ST for the Atmosfear LARP.  Recently, I have had the notion to run my own Vampire LARP.  As Cat and I have enjoyed some truly positive results with the Atmosfear LARP at the various DE cons, I have gotten ambitious and am starting another project, in addition to the Atmosfear LARP.  I call it, simply, Vampire:  Modern Ages.  What is this?  In a nutshell, it is Vampire:  Dark Ages in the 20th century with a twist.  I can't reveal too much of the plot yet, save that what you know as canon largely no longer applies.  Now, as the rulebook/sourcebook for this game universe is still being written by yours truly, this LARP will not be ready for Dreamation 2010, but hopefully by Dexcon 2010.  I am trying to get publicity/interest for this LARP out and started now, so that by the time Dexcon comes around, huge explosion of people eager to play occurs.  I will (hopefully) be posting updates as they come to pass.

I'm always up for a good Vampire LARP, although lately I've been playing in Lovecraft type games.

Well, due to the subject matter that Vampire tends to have, I would usually say at least be 18 years of age, or have consent by a parent or guardian.  Just a CYA moment.

Now, for the first spoilers...

The Dark Ages' High Clans/Low Clans Hierarchy scheme is used.

There are 16 Clans and 14 MAJOR Bloodlines.

Okay, the next Spoiler...

What if Gehenna had been preventable?  What would it have taken?  What would have needed to be done?  How extreme would those actions have needed to be?  What would the repercussions of those actions be?

Okay, it sounds like I need to provide another series of Spoilers.

Things in the Modern Ages game universe are historically different from normal Masquerade/Dark Ages.

Now, as a bit of clarification, the Baali are a clan and not a Bloodline.  Canonical VTM and VDA differs at times.  Sometimes they are a bloodline, sometimes they are a clan.  In Modern Ages, it is official, they are a CLAN.

First big changes?

Troile did not SUCCESSFULLY diablerize Brujah, and thus what players know as the Brujah are now actually TWO SEPARATE CLANS!  There are the Brujah, (in VTM, they are called the True Brujah.  And no, Temporis is not a usable discipline.  In this universe, they didn't learn it, and never had a cause to.) and the Troilean, (in VTM, what modern Brujah are.)

Augustus Giovanni DID NOT diablerize Cappadocius, and thus Clan Cappadocian was not wiped out.  Clan Giovanni DOES NOT EXIST and NEVER CAME INTO BEING.

Tremere DID NOT diablerize Saulot, and thus the Salubri are still a functioning High Clan.  Clan Tremere DOES NOT EXIST and NEVER CAME INTO BEING.

Now, regardless of what clans and bloodlines are playable, some of them will have limited allowed numbers, just for the sake of game balance.  Certain clans will get to have lots of members, some won't.  If you would like to play a clan/bloodline whose in-game number will be limited, you have one option open to you:  Get your character concept in and approved before someone else.  Or, simpler put, first come, first served.

More Spoilers to follow.
