Looking for a Bowler Hat
« on: October 20, 2009, 07:52:26 AM »

If anyone sees a black Bowler hat (tall Derby), please let me know where and how much if possible. I do not want a cheap one from a costume shop. I want it to hold up for future use. I am in a play and need it for a prop. Thanks in advance if someone finds one.

How close are you to Philadelphia?  There is a great hat shop on South Street... at least, it was there the last time I was down that way.  Pierre's Costumes might also be a resource if PHL is an option.

I'm assuming this is pretty close to what you are looking for:

This company is fairly highly recommended in the Victorian re-enactment community, though I have not personally ordered from them. That's just one of the many hats they have available.
