[Proper] Interlude of a sort

"Oh"  there was a pause "As much as I am ... was a soldier. I really rather not be affiliated with such."

[wcshoe]

"You may not wish to be one based on my description of their House, but you should make an informed decision by having all information. Besides, being a master of weapons does not mean you have to actually make war, soldier, or even fight."

[wcshoe]

Hyran tilts his head slightly to the side. "Cappy is otherwise occupied. I will try another of the same House."

Tapping a barely seen stud on the side of his shirt collar, he speaks in a low voice. "Fox McCloud, could you please come to my location? I would have you speak of your House to a newcomer to the Nexus, preferably without the usual crowd that always seems to pounce on them. Sebastian, I know you are on this frequency, I would like you to come as well, for the same reason.

"No, being a master of weapons may not mean so but it more like then not ends but being that way."

[wcshoe]

"Well, neither member of Ares that I am willing to call seems to be anxious to stop whatever it is they are doing. Since you profess a lack of interest in that House, we shall move to the next."

He pauses, seeming to go over a mental checklist, before speaking again. "House Avalon, led by King Trunks, I believe. The House of Magic. Not stage trickery, but genuine magic, or technology so far in advance of anything we can fathom that it appears to be magic. I do not have any immediate way to contact him."

He frowns. "Randall Demires, I may be able to contact him. If that system is still in operation."

He pauses again, before tapping a button on a wrist communicator. "New Aldaraan Central Communications. Activate system search for Avatar 'Randall Demires.' If found, please set up a contact link"

[wcshoe]

A static filled transmission answers. "Search results negative. Be aware of rapidly approaching Gathering."

Hyran grimaces slightly. "I'll be right back." He fades immediately out of existance, along with his little otter...





OOC: Hyran will return on Monday, with little noticable time passing in here, as based on the frequency of posts...

"He likes doing that doesn't he?"

"Yes, he does," replies a voice from behind Amanda, though not actually surprising her. From her attunement to the Force, she can tell that he just returned, one moment being gone, the next moment... not.

When she turns, she can see his appearance has changed, as though he had been gone far longer than a few moments. His hair is buzzed short, his beard is now a neatly trimmed goatee, and he seems to have lost about 20 kilos. He is wearing a nondescript tan and black uniform, though no logos or patches are visible. At his waist is an unfamiliar lightsaber, a blued metal hilt with a distinct curve.

"Back to the Houses you can choose from. Bear in mind, these are my viewpoints only, I suggest that you seek actual members of these Houses and discuss it in more detail with them. House Ares, the weaponmasters. House Avalon, the magic users. House Citadel, the seekers, though they all seem to be destined to be martial artists of some type. House Cleese, the jokers and pranksters. House Galahad, mostly interfering do-gooders. House Godot, fun-time guys and the biggest consumers of alcohol in all the Universes combined. House Delphi, the brokers of information, though they tend not to act as the oracles their house was named for. House Fleming, the infiltrators and spies, mostly posing as members of other houses. House Helvetia, the mediators and negotiators, though many of them are just meddling bastards. House Lightfoot, the lawbreakers. House Lugosi, the monsters, usually with supernatural origins or ties. House Lilith, the 'empowered females.'  House Octagon, the technological creators. House Rennaisance, the tinkers and gadgeteers. House Tocsin, the lawyers. I think that is all of them."

He pauses for a moment, before nodding to himself. "Yeah, that is all of them. Any of them sound like a better fit for you than the Seekers, House Citadel?"

[Fox McCloud]

A small blue and white spacecraft roars overhead circling the two and bleeding off speed as it comes in to land.

"A house of 'Empowered Females'?  That should prove intersting once a month...." Amanda glances up at the approaching spacecraft trying to determine its make and intentions before looking back at Hyran "What's with the new look?"

[DaiKyuu]

House Helvetia, the mediators and negotiators, though many of them are just meddling bastards.

"And I suppose you'd cite my presence here as proof of such." the vixen said with a hint of amusement to her tone. "Not that I'd object. I've been called worse things then such."

The craft overhead does catch the creature's attention, bringing a tail over to blot out the sun so she could get a better view. "Wretched whore..." she mutters to herself as she catches an eyeful of sun glare.

[Fox McCloud]

The craft's vertical thrusters kick on as it comes into a slow fall to the ground.  The wind picks up dust and whatever happens to be laying loose on the ground and it thumps down on it's landing skids about ten meters from the assembled.  the canopy opens as the engine spools down revealing everyone's favorite Starfox.  Fox seems more interested in messing with something in the cockpit then with the group.

Hyran smiles briefly. "Empowered females, in that they believe their sex renders them superior to males. Certainly the abilities given to members of that House do nothing to discourage them from that belief."

He turns his head slightly to face DaiKyuu. "Many, not all."

Looking back at Amanda, he raises a thumb toward the now landed spacecraft. "Starfox, of House Ares."

Amanda nods at the introduction.  "You still have not answered my question about your new look."

[Fox McCloud]

Fox swings himself out of his ship landing on his feet.  He walks twards the the four looking more twards Hyran.  The anthropamorph is wearing a simple black tee shirt with a flack jacket over top bdu style pants and a blaster in it's holster on his hip.  "So I take it that one of you hailed me.  Most likely you Hyran."  He stops near the group and crosses his arms widening his stance a little, takeing in a closer look at the others.  "I have yet to meet you two.  I am Fox McCloud."  He extends his hand to them.
