[Proper] Interlude of a sort

The white fox turns her attention to the otter, "Another one." she almost smirks, slinking from her chosen perch of a rock to grace the ground at her paws. The blades of grass and flowers move before she has even set her paw down upon the ground, either out of respect, fear, or revulsion. "We see so few fellow animal spirits, though to see one so condemned to this place almost moves me to tears. Though, sorrow has no place within my hardened heart. Still, I mourn for your exile, and wish you a lenient judge." though, after that display, the fox turns her amber glance back to the three of them. "Thusly, has a decision been made? I'm eternal and patient, though as a courier I do need to know these things."

Mack stands quietly during the exchange. When Hyran reappears with Crafty, Mack nods with respect to the pacifist patriarch of the Celestial Otters.

“A decision about what?” comes the respectful query  “For becoming an Avatar or choosing a House?  Becoming an Avatar, the answer would be yes,” Amanda looks at her uncles as she says that” once I figure out how it is done. For choosing a House,” her gaze politely returns to the fox “I have only heard three names and vaguely know a little about two of them. As I have said, I shall need more information before that decision is made.”

"Thus, I brought Crafty. He is not aligned with any House, and can therefore give the most inbiased assessment of them all. Although, it rarely seems to work that way, he does tend heavily toward Lightfoot." Hyran scratches the otters ears, who closes his eyes and leans into the scratches.

"Reasonable, respectful, and polite..." the fox smiles, "You and I will get along just fine, and friends are important in Jigoku." A pause, as she turns to face the animal spirit, Crafty... or more, his handler, "The truest form of unbiased thought wouldn't be a spirit that you coddle and ask, but rather, the opinion from the outside." a smirk, "I haven't been exiled here long enough to form an opinion of your clan, but perhaps you can tell her your thoughts on the clan of Helvetia." she states, tails swinging, "You can bring all the support for your clan, but the notion isn't enough until she hears what others think of you."

The vixen turns her glance back to Amanda, "I would believe that would suit you in your inquiry best. Rather then listen to a recent inductee on the merits of the clan of Helvetia from one of her own, or listen to the accolades of this clan of light feet from one of their own."

Crafty chirps agreeably, tilting his head slightly to the left in second degree curiousity, with a polite whisker twitch of denial. His telepathic broadcast is 'heard' by those in the area, unless they choose to block it with devices, disciplines, or other shields.
*would you like a cookie I have many different types of chocolate chip cookies but I don't think I have any ghost cookies if you want to hear about the different Houses in the Nexus I can tell you but I still think there should be a House for Bakers then my job would be easier because there would be more cookies out there and people would get along better with each other you said you knew Hyran before he came to the Nexus and he had another otter then so you should have been safe if that otter told you about cookies then people would not have tried to hurt you either I can tell you about the different Houses in the Nexus did you know I was once the head of House Avalon and I will be head of that House again someday they told me it was in a prophecy I was also head of House Cleese but there is no prophecy about that House but I do get some of their shiny stuff so it is okay*

The jedi ghost gives a wiry smile “ I have been called many things in my existence, but never ‘Reasonable, respectful and Polite.’ Thank you.”

Amanda blinks at the otter  “Alright things just went from strange and unusual to just plain weird.” She looks at Hyran “Since when did your otter start talking?”

Hyran looks at Amanda calmly. "Not the same otter. This is Crafty, a Celestial Otter. One of the more powerful beings in the Nexus, actually."

The otter looks smug, or at least as smug as an otter shaped hole into outer space can look...

Amanda looks at the Crafty “It is a pleasure to meet you.”

Crafty nods agreeably, and squeaks his own greeting back, with a nose twitch of third degree politeness.
*a pleasure to meet me indeed and it is good to meet you too so you are another Amanda let me see if i can do this too then you can have a cookie so you won't feel left out have you ever had cookies before I have met many new Avatars that have never had one before I introduced them to my own special recipes*

Crafty closes his eyes a moment, then opens them, looking directly at Amanda. His form seems to waver slightly, the stars swirling confusedly through his fur, before they all seem to grow steadily brighter, and larger...

Amanda is about to reply but stops as his form wavers and his stars change  "What are you doing?"

Hyran looks on in amusement, as the otter continues what he is doing with no explanation.

Amanda gives her uncle the familar family glare at his amused look "You cold be more helpful you know Hyran"

"I could be. But, the question is, helpful to whom?"

The Kitsune looks on, perched upon her chosen rock, her tails swishing at the scene. Confusion, annoyance... these were fine wines to the spiritual messenger. Hyran was being most helpful indeed, in ways he could never comprehend.

"He's far too amused to help." Tsuki offers. "Hmm, Mirror." a pause... then the fox turned a harsh glare towards the faceless ghost attending her, "I ... Said... Mirror." and the spirit jumped to attention, moving with the same lack of grace offered by a servant who had failed to hear the call. From the billowing darkness of its form it produced a small mirror, holding it to allow the Kitsune a view of herself. "Better... Hmmm." she regarded herself, critically.

"Well enough. That'll do, for the moment." she said, satisfied, and the mirror was returned to darkness, and the faceless ghost faded back into the background. Tsuki looked straight at Amanda, "It is difficult to find those willing to help, and even then, they do such a poor job of it."
