Okay. What's the best holiday present you ever got? Two stipulations:

Something that someone else gave you, not something you got for yourself.
Something other than money, unless it was over $1,000.

I'll start. I remember my friend giving me a ColecoVision in 1983. I wasn't expecting it, and it was a very nice surprise. It was the "hot" gaming system at the time. Okay, your turn.

Was just discussing this topic at dinner tonight. My favorite gift was when my brother and I got the Atari 2600 back in 1978 or 79 with Asteroids and Space Invaders.

^ I remember getting the Atari VCS or 2600 as well. I got it a couple of years later in 1981. I had saved up enough money to buy it. I think it was like $150 and the store owner threw in a game. I think it was Air Sea Battle or Surround.

I still have those games today, but in another form. I have the Atari Anthology disc for my PS2.
I play it every now and then.

"The" T-shirt  Cheesy

Those who were there will understand and those that weren't wouldn't get it.

Pillage, then burn.

Everything is air-droppable at least once.

A soft answer turneth away wrath. Once wrath is looking the other way, shoot it in the head.

That which does not kill you has made a tactical error.

There is no "overkill".  There is only "Open Fire" and "Time to Reload!"

I have two gifts in mind that qualify as best:

One is a glass sculpture of a unicorn/pegasus that my brother gave me about 25 years ago.  It is (still) gorgeous.

The other was one of the most creatively gifted items I have ever received from my husband, Mark Andrews.  The entire gift consisted of some pencil leads for my mechanical pencil, a tire-pressure gauge, a Scooby-Doo clip watch... and diamond earrings.  The tag said "Carbon + time + pressure = ?"
