http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-the-beatles/49969?e3i=1

Article from BemaniStyle (coinciding with above video):
Quote
Let's kick off our E3 coverage with news from Microsoft's address, which has launched with a showcasing of The Beatles Rock Band.

First up, the conference confirms 10 of 45 songs that will be featured on the disc itself:

I Saw Her Standing There
I Want to Hold Your Hand
I Feel Fine
Day Tripper
Taxman
I Am the Walrus
Back in the U.S.S.R.
Octopus's Garden
Here Comes the Sun
Get Back

The conference hasn't shown much game play, but a notable change for The Beatles Rock Band is the feature of allowing for multiple vocalists.

Furthermore, the game will continue past launch with The Beatles DLC content. Specifically mentioned content included the full album of Abbey Road, to be released very soon after the game's launch on Sept. 9. Also, exclusive the Xbox 360 version will be the DLC track "All You Need is Love," from which all proceeds will be donated to the Doctors Without Borders organization.

Keep tuned throughout the event for more E3 info as it is made available.

Loving the dual vocals Cheesy

Unfortunately, it's not coming out till September, according to the Toys R Us video games website. Oh well, It'll get lots of attention and play at Dreamation in February. It might be like "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1964 all over again. Simply fab!!  Cheesy

I'd expect as DLC very quickly.  Harmonix, I believe, has the rights to produce the entirety of the Beatles catalog that Apple Corps, had rights to.  They only could manage so much on the intitial offering, but the downloadables are already being produced.

For all of you waiting for DLC news... here it is.

Quote
Harmonix and MTV Games today announced its upcoming plans for downloadable to be seen in The Beatles: Rock Band, as well as the standard series. The companies are putting a huge campaign behind DLC for The Beatles, dropping three full albums that players can expect to see this year:

Abbey Road (1969)
Release Date: October 20, 2009
$16.98 (or 1360 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) for album
$1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) for individual tracks
·“Come Together”
·“Something”
·“Maxwell’s Silver Hammer”
·“Oh! Darling”
·“Octopus’s Garden”

·“Mean Mr. Mustard”

Fans of The Beatles should be pleased to know that anyone purchasing the full album will have an option to play the B-side medley from the album. This 16-minute continuous track places “You Never Give Me Your Money,” “Sun King,” “Mean Mr. Mustard,” “Polythene Pam,” “She Came In Through The Bathroom Window,” “Golden Slumbers,” “Carry That Weight” and “The End" into a single medley.

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967)

·“Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”
·“With A Little Help From My Friends”
·“Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds”
·“Getting Better”
·“Fixing A Hole”
·“She’s Leaving Home”
·“Being For The Benefit of Mr Kite”
·“Within You Without You
·“When I’m Sixty Four”
·“Lovely Rita”
·“Good Morning Good Morning”
·“Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)”
·“A Day In The Life”

Rubber Soul (1965)
Release Date: December 2009
·“Drive My Car”
·“Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)”
·“You Won’t See Me”
·“Nowhere Man”
·“Think For Yourself”
·“The Word”
·“Michelle”
·“What Goes On”
·“Girl”
·“I’m Looking Through You”
·“In My Life”
·“Wait”
·“If I Needed Someone”
·“Run For Your Life”

Outside of The Beatles, the companies did dabble a little bit into what players can expect for the rest of the year. While no specific songs were mentioned, the companies plan to have DLC tracks from Queen, Nirvana, Tom Petty, Elton John, Iggy Pop, The White Stripes, Pantera, Talking Heads, Korn and The Raconteurs among more in the works. The companies have since surpassed the 800-track mark for songs available through the series and it has been announced players can expect the offerings to surpass 1,000 by the end of the year.

Let the wet dreams commence.

So the game's been out for over a week now. Anybody play it? I have a PS 2, so I can't. The likenesses of them look great.
