I know New Jersey Transit runs buses out of Philly to NJ. He'd probably have to get down to Philly and get a bus to Morristown that way. This would require more than one bus. Amtrak stops at Metro Park and Trenton NJ on the NE Corridor Line. Maybe he could get a bus from there. Forget a taxi - way too expensive. Maybe the hotel could help him with directions.

Amtrak (most likely Harrisburg or he'd have to look) to Philly, then to Newark.  switch to NJ transit, going to Secaucus, then to Morristown.

Amtrak might be able to send him with one fare, I do not know.

If he's not staying the night at the Hyatt, then I'd suggest he spend the extra $ and use Amtrak to Newark, then NJT through Secaucus Junction as the fastest mass transit method. Once he's decided on Amtrak, it might even be easier to go all the way to New York (Penn Station) and take NJT to Morristown from there.

He can also take the light rail from Newark Penn Station to Newark Broad Street and get the Morristown NJT train that way.

With a LOT of extra travel time available; from Philly he can take the SEPTA R7 to Trenton, then NJT to either Secaucus Junction or to Newark Penn and proceed as above.

My personal preference is to avoid the bus. Coming from Trenton, I've done NJT to NYC the night before, then NJT to Morristown the next morning; and NJT to Secaucus Junction, and then, because of NJT's lovely scheduling, NJT from Secaucus to Newark Broad Street and a third train from there to Morristown (even though some of the Morristown trains stop at Secaucus).
