I'm thinking about running a large D-Day battle using the Axis & Allies miniatures at Dexcon this year. Just wondering if anybody would be interested in playing.

I like the A&A concept but the "collectible" nature of that game system bugs me. I've got boxes of "common" Magic cards and I fear the same thing happening if I get into any other games where I can't control the accumulation of material. But I do want the exposure to as many game systems as I can. And WWII is my preferred historical period so I am doubly intrigued.

I agree. I can't stand the collectable part of the game. I pretty much stopped collecting them after they changed the scale after 5 sets. I still have a lot of units to have a very fun game.
